The case for the Steelers moneyline

The Pittsburgh Steelers put in their best performance of the season in an upset win over the Bengals last week. A retooled offensive line sparked the rushing attack, which in turn made life easier for Aaron Rodgers. The veteran QB doesn’t mind the short weeks and has excelled on TNF throughout his career.

The case for the Browns moneyline

The Cleveland Browns held off Carolina for their second win of the season last weekend. The Browns defense remains the backbone of this squad, rating out among the Top 10 in many metrics over the past two weeks. Deshaun Watson complements that with a steady offense and, most importantly, no turnovers in those wins.

Steelers moneyline pick & confidence level

Pittsburgh’s defense is a tough nut for Cleveland to crack. Despite a new system under coordinator Patrick Graham, this Steelers stop unit continues to get pressure on the passer and create game-changing plays like sacks and takeaways. The Browns offensive line is missing two starters on the short week, and that spells doom for Watson & Co.

Pick: Steelers Probability:  57%
Confidence:🟢 Standard

Covers COVERS INTEL: Pittsburgh has eight sacks and six takeaways through three games, blitzing at the 12th-highest rate. Watson has been respectable when kept clean but sees his PFF ratings tank when either blitzed or pressured (30th).

What are prediction markets?

A prediction market allows you to buy and sell shares on the outcome of a future event. Prediction markets are exchange-traded markets. Most prediction market apps allow users to "buy an outcome" for between 1 cent and $1.

The $1.00 rule: The foundation of prediction markets

The difference between sportsbook and prediction market pricing isn't actually that difficult. In fact, you can make a compelling case that American odds are more challenging for beginners to understand than prediction markets and their $1.00 foundation.

Unlike a traditional bet where you wager a specific amount to win a profit, NFL prediction markets operate on a binary contract system.

  • The Winning Side: Always settles at $1.00
  • The Losing Side: Always settles at $0.00

The price of a "Yes" contract is directly related to the aggregate belief about the probability that the event will occur. For example, if a contract for the Chicago Bears to beat the Detroit Lions is trading at $0.51, the market believes they have a 51% chance of victory.
