Ponnaiya's prediction: Even if Lamar Jackson is out, the Baltimore Ravens are the much desperate side, and they won't go down without a fight.

The Baltimore Ravens are fighting for their playoff lives as they head to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers tonight.

Money has poured in on the home side with Baltimore starting Tyler "Snoop" Huntley at quarterback. However, my Ravens vs. Packers predictions go against the line movement, backing a Baltimore team with its back against the wall.

Here are my best free NFL picks for this Week 17 clash on Saturday, December 27.

Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. ET, with the game airing on Peacock.

Note: This preview was published before the Packers ruled out QB Jordan Love.

Ravens vs Packers prediction

Ravens vs Packers Best bet: Ravens +4.5 (-110)

A loss to the Patriots left the Baltimore Ravens at 7-8, now needing to win their final two games and get some help to make the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers clinched a playoff spot after the Lions lost on Christmas Day, which could make them less motivated.

This line opened at Baltimore -2.5, with the status of quarterback Lamar Jackson up in the air after he exited last week with a back injury. After he was officially designated as doubtful on Thursday, this line jumped to +4.5.

That looks like an overreaction since Jackson has clearly been less than 100% due to multiple injuries he's been playing through. The Ravens have historically struggled without Lamar, but Tyler Huntley is a solid backup with 15 career starts — including 10 with Baltimore.

Huntley played well in the final two weeks of last season, and in his lone start this year, he led Baltimore to a win against Chicago by completing 17 of 22 passes for 186 yards, with another 53 yards on the ground.

He won't be asked to do too much since the Ravens will likely lean on Pro Bowl running back Derrick Henry against a Packers D that was gashed for 150 yards on 26 carries last week.

On the other side of the ball, Baltimore has made major strides after struggling earlier in the season due to a slew of injuries. It's fifth in the league in defensive success rate since Week 6, and that stop unit will help keep this game close.

Ravens vs Packers same-game parlay

Derrick Henry always excels towards the end of the regular season with his 247-pound frame pounding the ball in cold weather. He's rushed for more than 90 yards in each of his last three games.

Zay Flowers is the Ravens' No. 1 WR and leads the team in targets (107) and receptions (78) by a huge margin.

Flowers logged three receptions after Huntley replaced Cooper Rush in the fourth quarter in Week 6. He reeled in seven of nine targets the following week with Huntley as the starter.

Ravens vs Packers SGP (+389)

  • Ravens +4.5
  • Derrick Henry Over 72.5 rushing yards
  • Zay Flowers Over 4.5 receptions

Our big-ticket SGP: Just Joshin around

Green Bay QB Jordan Love was ruled out on Friday, which means Green Bay will start Malik Willis.

The Packers will try to take pressure off their backup pivot by relying on RB Josh Jacobs, who has scored a touchdown in 10 of 14 games.

Ravens vs Packers SGP (+1087)

  • Ravens +4.5
  • Derrick Henry Over 72.5 rushing yards
  • Flowers Over 4.5 receptions
  • Josh Jacobs anytime touchdown

Ravens vs Packers game predictions

Ravens vs Packers moneyline prediction

While I like the Ravens on the spread, they still have a backup QB on the road at a tough venue for visitors.

The Packers have been the better team this season, and I'd lean towards them on the ML.

Ravens vs Packers spread prediction

The Ravens are in a desperate spot, and I'm not sure the drop-off from Jackson to Huntley this season is as big as oddsmakers seem to think.

With the spread moving past the key number of three and now sitting at +4.5, I'll grab them with the points.

Ravens vs Packers Over/Under prediction

Expect a conservative game plan from these offenses, with both relying on their rushing attacks to take pressure off their QBs.

With both stop units solid against the run, I'm leaning towards the Under.

Ravens vs Packers odds

  • Spread: Ravens +4.5 (-110) | Packers -4.5 (-110)
  • Moneyline: Ravens +188 | Packers -225
  • Over/Under: Over 40.5 (-102) | Under 40.5 (-120)
