Patriots vs Bengals prediction

Patriots vs Bengals Best bet: Patriots -5.5 (-114)

Emerging as a serious contender, the New England Patriots have been one of the biggest surprises of the season. Behind the brilliance of quarterback Drake Maye, the Pats are 9-2 and sit atop the AFC East.

Mike Vrabel’s squad is a 5.5-point favorite in Week 12, and that should be manageable against a reeling Cincinnati Bengals team. While there’s a chance Joe Burrow returns from injury on Sunday, that won’t magically fix all of Cincinnati’s problems, as the Bengals have dropped three in a row.

The Patriots are a perfect 5-0 on the road this season, and they’ve covered this spread in two of their last three away contests. They’re firing on all cylinders, and New England's offense is set to expose Cincy’s league-worst defense.

Patriots vs Bengals same-game parlay

Maye continues to prove that he is the answer to New England’s QB1 problems. The UNC product has completed 71.9% of his passes and is averaging 257.8 passing yards per game this season.

New England's signal caller has cashed the Over in four consecutive games, most recently torching the Jets for 281 yards through the air while completing 25 of 34 attempts. Meanwhile, the Bengals are 31st in the NFL in most passing yards allowed, giving up 257.3 per contest. Maye will cook.

Tee Higgins is one of the few bright spots on Cincinnati. He’s reeled in 35 receptions for 544 yards and seven touchdowns this season. With Ja’Marr Chase sidelined on Sunday due to suspension, it opens up even more opportunity for Higgins.

The wideout has found the end zone in each of his last four games, even reeling in two TDs in early November against the Bears. Whether it’s Burrow or Joe Flacco under center, Higgins will be busy, and that could result in another score.
