NFL Parlay and Teaser Picks Week 12

The Seahawks are facing the wretched Eagles on Monday Night Football, and the Covers staff are hoping Seattle can give them something to cheer for.

The NFL, as is typical, was the centrifugal force of the Thanksgiving sports betting world, even with the marquee matchup being scrapped by (what else?) COVID-19.

However, a certain member of the Covers staff, one Jared Hochman, was instead fixated on the National Dog Show, providing our team with regular updates on everything furry and four-legged.

At first, the rest of us were pretty confused as to what was going on, but eventually, the canine crusade turned out to be a massive clairvoyant troll job. Later that day, The Hoch would smash his +844 parlay, while most of us (obviously) bricked out.

Thus, this competition has become its own dog show. We're all now large underdogs to catch Jared, who has single-handedly set the league in flux and forced many of our long-faithful teaser bettors into the parlay market.

Now let's move on to Sunday's slate, and find out if anyone else can contend for Best In Show.

NFL Teaser Picks Week 12

Jameson Mossman, Social Media Coordinator (@Covers_JaMo)

Back-to-back winning teasers! Things are starting to come together and after taking some (well deserved) heat at the bottom of the heap, I’m looking to serve up a big s*** sandwich to my competitors in week 12.

Cleveland plays good D and doesn’t seem to want to score while KC and Tampa, on the other hand, like scoring. Kyler Murray isn’t 100 percent and I think Belichick will have some surprises for him in Foxborough and the Packers handle the Bears.

PICK: 6-point teaser (Cleveland-Jacksonville U55.5, Kansas City-Tampa Bay O49, New England +7, Green Bay -2.5) +265

Season: -2.9 units

NFL Parlay Picks Week 12

Andrew Caley, Senior Editor (@Covers_Caley) ***Defending Champion***

Ugh. The Champ missed his Turkey Day player prop parlay by one yard. So, the slump continues. But now we have to switch strategies with Hoch hitting a big parlay late in the season.

With Nick Chubb looking like his old self the Browns should run all over the Jags. The Rams should take care of the Niners at home. And Philly is a mess.

PICK: Cleveland -6.5, L.A. Rams -6.5, Seattle -5 (+600)

Season: -0.38 units

Jason Logan, Senior Industry Analyst (@CoversJLo)

The teasers just aren’t getting the job done, so we’re going to swing big in case we hit it. Four-leg parlay with Buffalo -5.5, Bears-Packers Under 45, Chiefs-Bucs Under 56, and Giants-Bengals Under 43. Nothing like cheering for Unders to get the blood pumping.

PICK: Buffalo -5.5, Chicago-Green Bay U45, Kansas City-Tampa Bay Under 56, and N.Y. Giants-Cincinnati U43 (+1,100)

Season: -2.80 units

Rob Hansen, Content Coordinator (@Mookie_45)

There once was a group of crusaders,
Known as the Las Vegas Raiders
When feeling self-pity,
I turn to “Sin City.”
And, as always, f*** all the faders.

PICK: Las Vegas ML, Cleveland-Jacksonville U49.5, Buffalo -5.5, Kansas City ML (+783)

Season: -4.4 units

Rohit Ponnaiya, Digital Content Producer (@Covers_Ro)

After winning my first three parlays of the season I'm now 0-9 in my last nine tries, which has me fading someone else who started the season strong before getting derailed: the Chicago Bears.

I'm also taking the Rams to shut down the 49ers' backups and Russell Wilson's duel against Carson Wentz on MNF to resemble Apollo Creed's beatdown against Ivan Drago.

PICK: Green Bay 1H -5.5, L.A. Rams -6.5, San Francisco-L.A. Rams U45, Seattle -5 (+1,228)

Season: -4.2 units

Brandon DuBreuil, Content Manager (@CoversBD)

Detroit’s Thanksgiving clunker extends my slump but I’m feeling good about this weekend with a four-team moneyline parlay:

- Cleveland keeps rolling over Mike Glennon (why?!?) and the Jags.
- Buffalo is really good at beating mediocre teams, which it’ll do again against the Chargers.
- The Giants continue their run towards the top of the NFC East with a win over the Burrow-less Bengals.
- Taysom Hill improves to 2-0 with a win over Drew Lock & Co.

PICK: Cleveland ML, Buffalo ML, New York Giants ML, New Orleans ML (+258)

Season: -2.33 units

AJ Salah, Publishing Editor (@Salas42_)

Welp. Our Turkey Day parlay fell flatter than Mike McCarthy's dubious fake punt call, leaving us with a five-week losing streak and a worse sense of regret than going back for your fourth helping of taters and gravy.

Short and sweet with the picks this weekend: Raiders to keep their Over trend alive, fading the Jets, and Kyler to be healthy enough for 'Zona to cover a low spread vs. the Pats, because dammit I need a Murray Miracle right now.

PICK: Las Vegas-Atlanta O54, Miami -7, Arizona -1 +597

Season: +1.08 units

Jared Hochman, Publishing Editor (@JLHoch)

Thanksgiving was profitable for Team Hoch, hitting a real all-the-fixins' parlay. We’re going back for seconds this weekend and looking to put some real distance between us and the rest of the turkeys.

I’m taking the Bills to continue their high-octane ways against a porous Chargers defense, the Dolphins to beat up the Jets early and Seattle to cover against a putrid Eagles team on MNF.

PICK: Buffalo Team Total O28.5, Miami 1H -3.5, Seattle -5 (+599)

Season: +8.38 units

Josh Inglis, NFL Writer (and pumpkin pie lover) (@inglis_josh4)

Most in my position would wave the white flag at this point, but not team Jinglis. We are only one win away from crap-mountain contention.

We are done with sides and totals and hitting the prop markets hard. The Chiefs have scored in every quarter of their last five games. The Jets have given up a point in 15 straight quarters. The Vikings are giving up nearly 33 points to opposing teams at home.

PICK: Kansas City to score every quarter, Miami to score every quarter, Carolina team total O23.5 (+1,097)

Season: -6.8 units

Patrick Everson, Senior Writer (@Covers_Vegas)

I'm basically throwing darts with my lack of parlay success this season. So here are the darts:

-Titans +3 at Colts: Indy lost to Baltimore, Tennessee beat Baltimore, ergo Tennessee beats Indy. Although Indy just beat Tennessee a couple weeks ago. But whatever.
-Vikings -3.5 vs. Panthers: Just hoping the home team has a little life left in it this season.
-Patriots +2 vs. Cardinals: hoping New England has a final gasp left, as well.

PICK: Tennessee +3, Minnesota -3.5, New England +2 (+599)

Season: -8.36 units

Standings

1st: Jared Hochman: +8.38 units
2nd: AJ Salah: +1.08 units
3rd: Andrew Caley: -0.38 units
4th: Brandon DuBreuil: -2.33 units
5th: Jameson Mossman: -2.9 units

7th: Rohit Ponnaiya: -4.2 units
8th: Rob Hansen: -4.4 units
