Revenge will be on the mind for the Texas A&M Aggies when they welcome the South Carolina Gamecocks to town.
It was the Gamecocks that smashed the Aggies by double-digits a season ago, outscoring A&M 24-0 in the second half. Things couldn’t be much different this season, at least on paper, as South Carolina will arrive at College Station as a more than two-touchdown underdog.

South Carolina vs Texas A&M best bet: Texas A&M -18.5 (-110)
This feels like a bloodbath. As I have for almost the entire season, I have real questions about this South Carolina Gamecocks offense and how it will find any success against such an elite defense in a pretty rabid atmosphere.
LaNorris Sellers made headlines this week when he essentially announced he was done playing this season and would hit the portal. It matters, sure, but this South Carolina offense hasn’t been a ton different with him or without him this season. I don’t think it’s going to change in this spot.
Against the Texas A&M Aggies, South Carolina will see a defense that is strong across the board against the pass, ranking 18th nationally in EPA per dropback.
The path to beating them is running the ball because it’s where they’ve been exploitable. The problem for the Gamecocks? They haven’t been able to establish a semblance of an efficient running attack all season.
On the other side of the ball, I expect this game to look like what it has looked like so often for South Carolina this season. In spurts, its defense plays well, but is eventually worn down by short fields and constantly being on the field.
It certainly helps that A&M has quarterback Marcel Reed playing at an elite level, and he’ll be able to use his legs to make some plays against a defense that has allowed an above-average explosive play rate.

I’m pairing the Under with my best bet in a continued fade of the South Carolina offense. Even if it has some success, it’s going to come on the ground, which leads to a clock-bleeding situation.
Lastly, as mentioned, I’m targeting Marcel Reed to make some plays with his legs. South Carolina’s rushing defense has struggled at the second level, and he’s the exact type of explosive runner that can make plays at that second level.

Leading off our longshot parlay is Mario Craver to go Under his receiving yards. Perhaps the strongest aspect of the USC defense has been its secondary.
More specifically, it’s been limiting the explosive plays through the air, ranking in the Top 30th percentile of college football in such metrics. Craver’s success has been heavily dependent on those explosive plays this season, and I’m simply not sure how many chances he’ll get to create them.
I finished things off with A&M to grab the cover in the first half. I mentioned earlier that I expect this to be essentially a bloodbath. I think that shows up early.
