Georgia and Arkansas are set to begin SEC play at Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Ark.
My Georgia vs. Arkansas prediction backs the Bulldogs, who look like Georgia again after starting 2-0 against overmatched opponents — most recently a 70-20 rout of Western Kentucky, though the defense looked surprisingly generous. The Razorbacks, meanwhile, enter 1-1 after a blowout loss to Utah.
My college football picks also target the Under 54.5 when these teams take the field at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday (ABC).
TOP PICK
Who will win Georgia vs Arkansas: Georgia -24.5
This number is far too generous to the Arkansas Razorbacks, and I would play the Georgia Bulldogs all the way up to -27.5.
Arkansas just lost to Utah in a big way and already looks like a team with little pulse in mid-September. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs look like a team that will be back in the National Championship hunt.
A soft schedule matters, but Georgia ranks inside the Top 25 of both EPA per pass and EPA per rush through two games. They'll meet more resistance in this game, but the question is how much.
Arkansas, ranked 127th nationally in EPA allowed per rush and just a tick better in available yards allowed, has already suffered in the trenches against two opponents who can't match Georgia's physicality or talent. On the other side of the ball, its offense has looked inefficient, even against North Alabama. I expect the Dawgs to cruise.

Georgia vs Arkansas Over/Under pick: Under 54.5
This has "Georgia goes up two scores, and Kirby Smart runs his backfield into the ground, physically dominating Arkansas in the process" written all over it. In the process, the clock should run and run...and run. I like the Under down to 52.5 because of that.
I already mentioned the issues Arkansas will likely face in the trenches, but the other side of the ball is what really drives this home. I don't expect the Razorbacks to move the ball much at all.
The only offensive metric of any substance that they rank above triple digits in is third/fourth-down success. A big product of that? The volume and finding itself there often because it's been so ineffective on other downs.
Georgia vs Arkansas combo
My combo highlights the overall theme of this game analysis: Bulldogs domination. You're getting a boosted price on something because of non-correlation that should be boosted based on how the game is most likely to play out.
The trenches make this ugly for Arkansas fast. Once Kirby Smart gets a two-score lead, expect the Bulldogs to lean on the run and bleed the clock rather than pad the score. Arkansas can't hold up physically on defense, and its offense won't move the ball enough to keep this competitive. This is one of the best ways to capture that with value.

Clear weather should have little impact on the game, but temperatures in the low-90s could expose Arkansas' lack of depth in the second half.
