Florida will be on the road against Auburn in Week 3, making their first trip to Jordan-Hare Stadium since 2011.

Saturday's game will be the SEC opener for both first-year coaches, Jon Sumrall and Alex Golesh. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Florida opened their campaign with consecutive home games against inferior non-conference opponents Florida Atlantic and Campbell, defeating them by a combined score of 118-24. Auburn escaped with a 17-16 win over Baylor in its opener before dominating Southern Miss 43-8 in Week 2.

Although the Gators are a 2.5-point favorite on Saturday, my Florida vs. Auburn prediction and college football picks break down why the Tigers are the right side on Saturday, Sept. 19.

Who will win Florida vs Auburn: Auburn +2.5

Florida has won each of its first two games of the year in convincing fashion, but both matchups were scheduled wins against inferior opponents.

Florida Atlantic finished with -8 rushing yards and was outgained at home by Navy in Week 2. Meanwhile, Campbell is an FCS program that won't play another game against an FBS team in 2026.

On the surface, Auburn may appear to be the weaker team because it struggled with Baylor, but the more shrewd takeaway from that game should be that Baylor might be better than many pundits expected. In Week 2, Baylor outgained Prairie View by 442 total yards while allowing only seven first downs in a 44-3 victory. The final score could have been uglier after Baylor led 34-3 at halftime, but the Bears chose to take the air out of the ball late in the game.

Florida and Auburn both have question marks heading into Week 3. The home team getting points is the better value, especially considering it has already been tested by a real opponent in 2026.

Playable to 51%.

 TOP PICK

Florida vs Auburn Over/Under pick: Under 53.5

The biggest weakness for both Florida and Auburn is their offensive line.

Florida lost three starters from 2025, making Saturday's game a tough test for a group that doesn't have much experience playing together. Meanwhile, Auburn lost its entire offensive line from last season, putting the Tigers in a similarly difficult spot against a formidable Florida pass rush.

Auburn aggressively hit the portal to rebuild the trenches this offseason, but there could still be growing pains against tougher defenses.

Playable to 55%.

Florida vs Auburn prop: Florida team total Under 27.5

Florida quarterback Aaron Philo has rarely been pressured early in 2026. He was kept clean on all but eight dropbacks against Florida Atlantic in Week 1. Then, against Campbell in Week 2, he didn't attempt a single pass under pressure.

Philo is likely to face a much different pocket environment in Week 3 against Auburn — one that could force him into errant throws and poor decision-making. Auburn's defense is good enough to make things difficult for Philo, which should limit Florida's ability to generate explosive plays through the air.

Playable to 55%.

Florida vs Auburn combo

Auburn doesn't have the offensive firepower to hang with Florida in a shootout. If they are going to pull off an upset on Saturday, it'll likely be a lower-scoring game.
