Florida vs Auburn Picks & Props
FLA vs AUB Picks
NCAAF PicksFlorida ranks second nationally in net EPA per play and sixth in offensive success rate at 58.2%, while Auburn’s defense ranks 113th in net EPA per play and 114th in success rate allowed. That creates a strong environment for Florida’s passing game to produce a touchdown, even if Auburn focuses on limiting the Gators’ rushing attack. Micah Mays Jr. provides a different route to the end zone as a perimeter receiver in an offense expected to generate multiple scoring opportunities. Florida’s efficiency and Auburn’s defensive profile make Mays an intriguing alternative in this matchup.
Jeremiah Cobb leads Auburn with 24 carries and 138 rushing yards through two games, including a touchdown in the season opener. Auburn’s offense has struggled with efficiency, but Florida’s defense ranks only 89th nationally in net EPA per play. Florida’s offense should also force Auburn to remain aggressive, creating opportunities for Cobb to stay involved throughout the game. His workload gives him the clearest path to a touchdown among Auburn players, and his role should be especially valuable near the goal line. At +110, Cobb offers value as Auburn’s primary rushing threat.
The biggest weakness for both Florida and Auburn is their offensive line. Florida lost three starters from 2025, making Saturday's game a tough test for a group that doesn't have a lot of on-field experience together. Auburn lost their entire offensive line from 2025, putting them in a similarly difficult spot against a formidable Florida pass rush. Auburn aggressively hit the portal to rebuild the trenches this past offseason, but there are likely to be growing pains for their offensive line against good defenses. Young quarterbacks tend to struggle under pressure. If neither offensive line can offer consistently clean pockets this weekend, points could be at a premium.
Playable to 51%. On the surface, Auburn may appear to be a weaker team because they struggled with Baylor, but the more shrewd takeaway from that game should be that Baylor might be better than many pundits expected. In Week 2, Baylor outgained Prairie View by 442 total yards, allowing only 7 first downs in a 44-3 victory. The final score could have been uglier after Baylor led 34-3 at the half, but they chose to take the air out of the ball late in the game. Florida and Auburn both have question marks heading into Week 3. The home team getting points is the better value for bettors, especially considering they have already been tested by a real opponent in 2026.
Playable to 55%. Florida quarterback Aaron Philo has rarely been pressured early in 2026. He was kept clean for all but 8 dropbacks in Week 1 against Florida Atlantic. In Week 2, he didn't have a single pass attempt under pressure against Campbell. Philo is likely to face a much different pocket environment in Week 3 against Auburn, one that could force him into errant throws and poor decision-making. Auburn's defense is good enough to make things difficult for Philo, which should limit Florida's ability to generate explosive plays through the air.
Auburn doesn't have the offensive firepower to hang with Florida in a shootout. If they are going to pull off an upset on Saturday, it'll likely be a lower-scoring game.
