Both the Spurs and Trail Blazers enter Saturday's matchup on the second night of a back-to-back. This NBA expert likes the visitors from Texas to extend their league-best winning streak to eight games.

Momentum is everything in professional sports, and tonight's visitors have that and then some. That's why my Spurs vs. Trail Blazers prediction favors San Antonio to keep racking up victories and maintain its winning streak, despite little rest.

Portland enters this matchup as a 5.5-point underdog after falling to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday. Tonight's tipoff is scheduled for 10 p.m. ET at the Moda Center.

Let's dive into my analysis and NBA picks for Saturday, Nov. 7.

 TOP PICK
Spurs vs Trail Blazers prediction: Spurs -5.5

Play up to 59%.

The San Antonio Spurs are the hottest team in the Association, having won seven straight games with a second-ranked offense and third-ranked defense during that stretch. Keep in mind, though, that four of those victories came against the Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings, who have a combined 2-16 record.

In a 124-118 loss to the Lakers, the Portland Trail Blazers blew a 16-point lead before eventually falling behind by that same margin. Portland’s two leading scorers, Deni Avdija and Damian Lillard, each played at least 37 minutes.

By comparison, none of San Antonio’s core players logged more than 28 minutes in a blowout win over Sacramento.

The defeat snapped the Trail Blazers' three-game winning streak. An emotional letdown is likely coming off such a performance, compounded by tired legs.

San Antonio also has the personnel to dominate the glass and generate second-chance opportunities, an area in which Portland typically excels at limiting opponents.

Covers COVERS INTEL: San Antonio has won straight up and covered the spread each of the last three games in Portland. Two of those wins were in the opening round of the 2026 playoffs, with the Spurs prevailing by an average margin of 16.5 points with an average spread of 3.5.

Spurs vs Trail Blazers combo

Logic suggests the team on such a winning streak would ultimately prevail over a competitor that just lost. It also helps to know that the Spurs haven't lost a season series with the Trail Blazers since 2022-23, nor have they fallen in Portland as a favorite in nearly a decade.

San Antonio has gone Over in the total market on just three occasions in nine games. The Trail Blazers have also registered an Under in eight straight outings coming off a loss, dating back to last season.

Dylan Harper has improved his 3-point efficiency from 34.3% to 37.9% year over year. However, the sophomore guard has converted two or more triples in only one-third of his total appearances so far, and not in any of his last three.

Spurs vs Trail Blazers player props

Spurs player prop: Julian Champagnie Over 7.5 points

Play up to 62%.

Some slack will be given to Julian Champagnie for a recent goose egg he put up against the Dallas Mavericks on Nov. 4. He missed all six shot attempts, including five from behind the arc, in 20 minutes off the bench.

Shooters shoot, and sometimes the basketball gods will frown on you, resulting in lines like that. That's one of just three instances all season in which Champagnie has failed to register eight or more points, though.

Remove that box score from the equation, and the fifth-year pro has averaged 12 points over the last six games.

Trail Blazers player prop: Scoot Henderson Under 13.5 points

Play up to 65%.

Barring an unforeseen circumstance where Scoot Henderson sees heavier minutes as head coach Micah Nori rests Lillard in the backcourt, it's hard to envision the 22-year-old guard having an offensive outburst when he's been so unreliable.

Henderson is averaging nearly half as many points (7.9) as he did a year ago (14.9) in roughly the same amount of minutes (24.9 to 22.1). His efficiency has nosedived by roughly 10 percentage points (41.8 to 31.7), with Portland possessing a net rating of +14.9 when he's off the floor compared to -1.3 when he's playing.

He's attempted just seven total shots in his last two starts with Ja Morant absent, averaging just 5.5 points and three turnovers. That's not going to cut it, especially with the prop as high as it is.
