The Warriors are a different animal without Steph Curry, and that puts Darius Garland and the Clippers in prime position for a much-needed road win tonight.

Three straight wins have steadied Golden State, but it will be without Steph Curry for tonight's clash with the Clippers.

The Warriors still enter as 2.5-point favorites, but my Clippers vs. Warriors prediction backs L.A. to snap its four-game skid, with Darius Garland shining as the most dangerous player on the court at Chase Center.

Check out my NBA picks for a closer look at this Sunday, Nov. 1 matchup, with tip-off at 8:30 p.m. ET.

 TOP PICK
Clippers vs Warriors prediction: Clippers moneyline

The Golden State Warriors have had some glimpses of life without Steph Curry, and it's not pretty. They were 13-26 SU without Curry last season, and he's just as irreplaceable now, ranking among the league's top five starters in usage rate this year.

That opens the door for the Los Angeles Clippers. Despite a tough 1-4 start, L.A. has held three of its five opponents under 110 points, and a Darius Garland-led offense can create easy buckets tonight with Draymond Green joining Curry in street clothes.

The visitors are missing key starters too, but they have athletic defensive stoppers to throw at Yaxel Lendeborg and went 14-10 ATS as a road underdog last year.

The Clippers have won eight of the past 10 meetings between these teams, and I'd play this up to 50%.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Warriors rank in the bottom third of the NBA in defensive rating (115.3) — a number that should drop further with Draymond Green ruled out — so this is a favorable matchup for the Clippers to score efficiently.

Clippers vs Warriors combo

With Garland, Rui Hachimura and rookie Keaton Wagler, the Clippers look faster and better equipped to navigate a low-scoring contest, so I'll take the points with the Under here.

The Under has cashed in two of L.A.'s last three games, and the visitors are averaging just 105.4 PPG (second-lowest in the NBA). Without Curry to anchor the Golden State offense and role players on both squads being pushed into bigger spots, this total feels too high, and the Warriors' 3-point edge will take a hit here.

Lendeborg has hit the ground running in his rookie year, and I expect his rebound total to climb without Green in the lineup. He's already averaging 7.8 RPG, and he's grabbed 9+ boards in four of his last five outings.

Clippers vs Warriors combo

  • Clippers +2.5
  • Under 221.5
  • Yaxel Lendeborg Over 7.5 rebounds

Clippers vs Warriors player props

Clippers player prop: Keaton Wagler Over 13.5 points

Some rookie inefficiency is no surprise, but Wagler has started his first season in attack mode. He's averaging 14.4 ppg while making his 3-pointers at a 36% clip, and he'll be another L.A. beneficiary of Green's absence in the paint tonight.

Wagler can pad his scoring at the charity stripe, too. He's attempted 20 free throws across his last two outings, and he's logged 7.8 FTA per game so far this season.

Like the Warriors, the Clippers are missing proven scorers, so Wagler has a clear path to shot volume off the bench.

Warriors player prop: Brandin Podziemski Over 4.5 assists

Brandin Podziemski has looked good since returning from back soreness, and his numbers will get a boost here without Curry or Green to run the offense — that duo is combining for 11.2 APG so far this year.

Podziemski is stepping into the lead guard spot, which should make him a lock for big minutes, and he's dished 5+ assists in three straight contests.

While Golden State may struggle through scoring droughts, Podz is the leading candidate to penetrate into the paint against the Clippers and find open shooters.
