The Los Angeles Dodgers (78%) have hammered sub-.500 teams, posting a league-best 55-24 record. That's bad news for the San Francisco Giants.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have run over sub .500 teams all year, which is why my Giants vs. Dodgers predictions expect them to win big on Sept. 19.

Their offense is hitting for more power, and Tarik Skubal is taking the bump, both bad news for San Francisco.

Let's break down my MLB picks for tonight's game at UNIQLO Field in Los Angeles, Calif., with first pitch at 9:10 p.m. ET.

Who will win Giants vs Dodgers today: Dodgers -1.5

For help understanding probabilities, see our odds calculator.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are a strong run line play up to 62%.

Tarik Skubal has pitched very well since joining the Dodgers (2.52 ERA, 2.72 xERA) and is in a great spot against the San Francisco Giants.

Only three teams have posted a lower average or OBP vs. southpaws over the past month. They are struggling to get on base, and this matchup won't help.

Logan Webb was shut down for the season, leaving the Giants with a patchwork approach on the mound vs. a Dodgers team sitting second in OBP the last 30 days.

Covers COVERS INTEL: The Dodgers have posted an average margin of victory of +2.4 runs when starting a pitcher with a sub-3.5 ERA against a below .500 team.

Giants vs Dodgers Over/Under pick: Over 7.5

I trust the Dodgers to score in bulk, making the Over an appealing play up to 53%.

They’re not only getting on base consistently, but hitting for real power again. No team has bested their 9.9% barrel rate in September.

Conditions at Dodger Stadium are projected to boost home runs by more than 20%, which should help convert hard contact into production.

Skubal has allowed multiple earned runs in four of five home games since the trade. There’s usually a hiccup or two, and that should allow the Giants to chip in enough to go Over.

Giants vs Dodgers home run prediction: Kyle Tucker

Don’t look now, but Kyle Tucker is crushing the baseball.

He is hitting .277 over his last 20 games with excellent metrics across the board, headlined by a .369 ISO and 13.6% barrel rate.

Tucker’s output has been excellent against pitchers of both handedness, so it shouldn’t matter much who the Giants have on the hill in any given at-bat.

He is looking a lot more like the player the Dodgers paid heavily to sign, and I want to ride the hot hand.
