Vanderbilt @ Texas Picks & Props
VAN vs TEX Picks
NCAAF Picks
Vanderbilt has the better offense, led by the better quarterback, and has been a consistent team all season. Meanwhile, Texas has barely escaped with wins over a pair of teams who haven't won SEC home games in more than two years!
Arch Manning picked up 94 yards and zero points last week in a seven-drive span, and is getting no help from his running backs. The Texas defense looked tired last week, and Diego Pavia will be one one of the best quarterbacks they face this season.
Vanderbilt is 5-1 ATS the last two seasons in SEC road games. Gimme the Dores to not only cover but win outright.

Vanderbilt knows to rely on Sedrick Alexander, having scored at least once in six of the Commodores' seven games against Power Four opponents. At Texas, in particular, expect Vanderbilt to use Alexander and Diego Pavia in tandem in the running game, largely to have an extra body involved near the goal line. That may prompt an instinct to bet on Pavia, but the reality is it will often feature the ball in Alexander's hands while Pavia momentarily occupies a defender.

This game should be played at a very slow tempo. It'll be strength-on-strength when Vandy has the ball and weakness-on-weakness when Texas does.
