Seven weeks in, these college football totals picks are rolling. I'm 12-6 overall, including four straight 2-1 weeks, and I'm looking to keep that momentum going in Week 8.

This week's board includes a Rutgers-Northwestern matchup with more scoring potential than expected and a UCLA team coming off consecutive defensive battles.

Here are my college football Over/Under picks, with the numbers and matchup edges behind each selection.

Rutgers vs Northwestern: Over 57.5

Northwestern loves running the football, and Rutgers is allowing 4.3 yards per carry. That's a problem against a Wildcats offense that rarely needs to throw more than 24 times per game. But Rutgers can contribute to this total, too.

The Scarlet Knights average 30 points and just scored 37 against Maryland. Northwestern's defense has been good, but the Knights can move the ball through the air.

I see enough scoring opportunities on both sides to get past 57.5.

Oklahoma vs Mississippi State: Over 45.5

Oklahoma's offense has struggled, but Mississippi State's secondary gives John Mateer an opportunity to get back on track.

The Bulldogs have allowed plenty through the air, while their own offense has shown it can score against SEC competition, putting up 41 against South Carolina and 31 against Missouri.

Oklahoma has also been careless with the football, entering this matchup with a minus-eight turnover differential. Short fields could help both teams.

At 45.5, we don't need an offensive shootout to cash this Over.

Michigan State vs UCLA: Under 46.5

UCLA has won its last two games by scores of 17-15 and 17-7. That's 32 and 24 combined points, and Michigan State doesn't have the offense to suddenly turn this into a shootout.

The Spartans average just 21.3 points per game and rank 114th nationally in scoring.

UCLA is allowing 16.2 points per game and has enough defensive talent to keep the Spartans quiet.

Even if the Bruins win comfortably, I don't see Michigan State contributing enough to threaten 46.5.
