Leon Draisaitl hasn't been shy about shooting the puck in the postseason, and our NHL picks think the Over on his shots prop makes an excellent addition to our SGP.

The Western Conference Final heads to Rogers Place for Game 3, and the Dallas Stars and Edmonton Oilers split the first two meetings of the series.

Dallas rebounded with a Game 2 win Saturday, and the Stars are 5-1 on the highway during the playoffs. Does Edmonton have its own bounce back tonight?

Here are my NHL picks for this Stars vs. Oilers showdown on May 27.

Best Stars vs Oilers SGP for Monday

Dallas Stars moneyline

Stuart Skinner Over 23.5 saves

Leon Draisaitl Over 2.5 shots

The Dallas Stars won Game 2 to even up the series, holding their "road warriors" status throughout the postseason. Head coach Peter DeBoer has the deeper lineup, and Big D has slowed down multiple superstars to this point of the playoffs. I particularly value Dallas having the edge in net, with Jake Oettinger sporting a reassuring .922 SV% (.956 on the highway).

The Stars will have an even larger edge in overall lineup depth if go-to center Roope Hintz returns, too.

Additionally, look for the Stars to have an increased emphasis on putting pucks on net Monday, which will provide Stuart Skinner with the shot volume to clear this bottomed-out saves total.

Dallas only recorded 25 shots on 50 attempts in Game 2, and that’s not a winning formula at this stage of the game. Skinner also has bounced back to top form with a .921 SV% and 1.62 GAA across his past four starts.

I’m looking to Leon Draisaitl with the last leg of this same-game parlay. He’s averaged 3.65 shots per game over the past two playoffs, and his per 60 numbers climb in the postseason.

Draisaitl has recorded 9.83 shots and 17.8 attempts per 60 across his past 26 playoff games compared to respective 8.15 and 14.92 marks over the past two regular seasons. It’s all added up to No. 29 recording three or more shots in 21 of 26 playoff games the past two years.

Finally, there’s an odds edge by betting this SGP at DraftKings, with bet365 pricing it at +500. The difference in the +575 DraftKings number checks out as a positive expected value of 13%.
