We have a nightcap featuring two of the best offenses in hockey, so I'm taking the Over in my Maple Leafs vs. Kraken prediction.
The Leafs enter this as 56% favorites — and I'll hit on that in my combo — but I expect a ton of goals when puck drops at 10 p.m. ET at Climate Pledge Arena.
Tap into my NHL picks for Wednesday, Oct. 28, and let's build that bankroll.
TOP PICK
Maple Leafs vs Kraken prediction: Over 6.5
We're getting a game between two of the best Over teams in hockey, so we're not going against the grain here.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are still struggling defensively, owning the third-worst exepected goals against mark in the league at 5-on-5, with the Seattle Kraken not far behind, sitting fifth-worst at even strength.
The matchup that really tilts the ice in Toronto's favor — and could open the floodgates offensively — is the Leafs' fifth-ranked power play against a Seattle penalty kill operating at a dreadful 70.6%.
If the Kraken can't stay out of the penalty box, things could get ugly fast. Let's see some pucks hit the twine tonight.

Maple Leafs vs Kraken combo
The significant special-teams gap stands out most in Toronto's favor. The Leafs have an opportunity to capitalize on a struggling Seattle penalty kill at least once.
Meanwhile, Easton Cowan enters tonight riding a four-game point streak, and Kirill Marchenko's potential absence could open the door for an expanded role on the top power-play unit.
With Cowan already playing some of his best hockey, he's still being mispriced.

- Easton Cowan 1+ point

Maple Leafs vs Kraken player prop: Easton Cowan 1+ point
At 48%, Cowan has plenty of upside to find the scoresheet tonight. The 21-year-old enters the matchup on a four-game point streak and faces Philipp Grubauer, who ranks 18th in the NHL in goals saved above expected. Ugly.
More importantly, Cowan could see an expanded role on Toronto's top power-play unit with Marchenko sidelined. For a unit clicking at a 28% clip on the man advantage, we'll take it.
Maple Leafs vs Kraken goal scorer: Auston Matthews
Why fix what isn't broken? I've highlighted Auston Matthews to score in four straight games, and he's delivered in three. The production speaks for itself, so there's plenty of reason to stick with the hot hand.
The Roslovic-Matthews-Marchenko line boasts an impressive 72 xGoals%, ranking among the top 5 lines in hockey with at least 30 minutes played together.
Even if Cowan or William Nylander steps in for Marchenko, Matthews should keep getting quality scoring chances.
