Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs are heavy 12.5-point favorites tonight against the Utah Jazz, and my Spurs vs. Jazz prediction is a blowout win for the visitors.
Utah is missing a key inside presence, and that absence will prove costly against Wembanyama & Co., with tip-off scheduled for 9 p.m. ET at the Delta Center.

Spurs vs Jazz prediction: Spurs -12.5
Play up to 58%.
This is obviously a large number, but the San Antonio Spurs have a real case to cover. Both wins this season came by 16 and 27 points, including Tuesday's blowout of Sacramento.
The Utah Jazz will be without Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jusuf Nurkic, leaving them short on size and rim protection against Victor Wembanyama. That's a major concern for a team already struggling defensively.
San Antonio is also 15.1 points better in average scoring margin, and Utah's turnover problems could be costly against a Spurs roster with countless weapons.

Spurs vs Jazz combo
My combo highlights a low-scoring Spurs win and Wemby dominating the glass.
The San Antonio superstar is averaging 11 rebounds per game so far, and he's clear this total in two of four appearances. Wembanyama should thrive on the boards against a Jazz team missing Jackson Jr. and Nurkic. Utah will likely be without Lauri Markkanen tonight as he nurses a wrist injury.
San Antonio is allowing just 109.8 points per game this season, and Utah could struggle offensively against the Spurs' length and rim protection, especially with their frontcourt absences.
The Spurs are also playing on a back-to-back, making Under 234.5 an appealing look.
Spurs vs Jazz combo
- Spurs -12.5
- Victor Wembanyama Over 11.5 rebounds
- Under 234.5
Spurs vs Jazz player props
TOP PICK
Spurs player prop: Victor Wembanyama Over 24.5 points
Play up to 57%.
Beyond Wembanyama's ability to control the glass in Salt Lake City, I also expect him to show out as a scorer.
I don't want to sound like a broken record, but Utah's interior defense is in trouble without Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jusuf Nurkic, while Markkanen could miss out too.
It's not like Wemby couldn't dominate this matchup anyways, but the absences certainly help. The big man just poured in 29 points on 14-for-21 shooting against Sacramento, including nine dunks.
He also cooked the Jazz last season, averaging 30.3 ppg across three meetings. I expect another big performance tonight.
Jazz player prop: Ace Bailey Over 12.5 points (53%)
Play up to 60%.
Ace Bailey has been in good form for the Jazz, averaging 13 ppg this season. He's played heavier minutes over the last two contests, and the scoring output has increased.
Bailey has cashed the Over in both games, scoring 17 points in each. If Markkanen does sit tonight, he'll have an even bigger role on offense.
The Spurs haven't been fantastic at defending small forwards, either. They're allowing 21.7 ppg to the position, and Bailey averaged 16.5 points against San Antonio last season.
