This pick rides a Los Angeles Lakers offense that’s already firing on all cylinders while shooting a league-best 55% from the field, and I’m playing this up to -5.5 and 53%.
The Lakers are averaging 128.3 PPG (second-most), and Walker Kessler has been a seamless fit as a roller and lob threat.
In contrast, the Los Angeles Clippers aren’t built for track meets, and Rui Hachimura joins a lengthy injury report here, leaving the hosts with fewer options to guard Luka Doncic.
The Lakers were 39-25 ATS last season when Doncic suited up, and they bagged a 125-117 win over the Clippers last week, despite Luka’s 11 turnovers.
Their Big 3 combined for 73 points that night on 28-for-48 shooting, and I don’t see Ty Lue’s men keeping up when the visitors hit that offensive gear.

Austin Reaves is thriving as the clear No.2 option, with 26.5 PPG on 63% shooting, and he shredded the Clippers last week on the way to a 10-for-13 stat line. With Doncic drawing a crowd, Reaves is also making his triples at a 57% clip.
I’ll round out my combo with the Over on Luka’s assists. His scoring grabs the headlines, but Doncic has dished 19 dimes across his last two outings, and the Clippers may have to lean on double teams if Derrick Jones Jr. gets into foul trouble.
A big assists night is no stretch when the visitors have scored 125+ points in every game so far this year.

Garland is also the type of crafty point guard who can give the Lakers fits, preying on the defensive flaws of a Doncic-Reaves backcourt. He poured in 26 points against JJ Redick's men last week, and his consistent jump shooting will be vital for a team missing Hachimura, Brandon Ingram, and Max Strus.
