The Baltimore Ravens will try to continue their climb back into the AFC playoff picture as they host the New York Jets on Sunday afternoon.

New York may not have what it takes to win this one, but it's shown a habit of keeping games close, which is why I’m taking the underdog to cover in my Jets vs. Ravens predictions.

Let’s take a closer look at this Week 12 matchup in my NFL picks for Sunday, November 23.

Jets vs Ravens prediction

Jets vs Ravens Best bet: New York Jets +13.5 (-106)

While the New York Jets can’t seem to get offensive production out of anyone at quarterback consistently and they’ve traded away much of their defensive talent, they seem to be playing some of their best football of the year in recent weeks.

New York has covered in three straight games, and was in the game against the New England Patriots last week until late in the fourth quarter after winning its two previous contests.

Of course, that resume doesn’t stack up at all against the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens have now won four in a row and are hot on the heels of the Pittsburgh Steelers for the AFC North lead.

The return of Lamar Jackson has certainly helped spark the team. Still, outside of a great performance against the Miami Dolphins in his return, the quarterback hasn’t played outstanding football, throwing just one touchdown pass in the last two weeks.

Baltimore has only scored more than 28 points once in the last seven weeks, and that includes all three games with Jackson at the helm. And while the Jets aren’t dynamic offensively, they’ve averaged 26.7 ppg over their last three contests.

There’s a clear gap between these teams, but not one that’s enough to justify a two-touchdown spread. I’m taking the Jets to cover.

Jets vs Ravens same-game parlay

The Jets will likely stay in this game with a continuation of their recent defensive efforts, which has me leaning towards the Under.

I’ll close out the parlay by adding a bet on Breece Hall, who continues to be the most consistent offensive player for New York and who has scored three touchdowns in the last three weeks.

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
