The Rams are 17-point favorites at home against the 0-13 Jets who, despite being very, very bad this year, are hoping that Santa brings them Trevor Lawrence.

Against the Spread (ATS) Pick

We won't bore you with a stat breakdown for both teams, the Rams have Super Bowl aspirations while the Jets are the worst NFL team in recent memory.

Figuring out which team is going to cover a massive 17-point spread is trickier than that. Have the Jets been able to keep games close against vastly superior teams, and have the Rams shown the ability to run up the score against overmatched opponents?

The Jets have played eight games against teams that are currently playoff-bound, including a 40-3 beatdown by the Seahawks last week. They went 1-7 ATS in those contests, losing by an average score of 29-7. They lost six of those games by at least 17 points and the only scores closer than that came against division rival Buffalo

The Rams are fresh off a 24-3 drubbing of the Patriots, and also stomped Chicago, Philadelphia and Washington by at least 14 points earlier this year.

The Rams are currently tied with the Seahawks for the best record in the NFC West and are just one game behind the Packers and Saints for a first-round bye. That should give them a lot more motivation than the Jets, who seem more interested in securing the first overall pick in the upcoming draft.

That rout against the Pats came on Thursday night, so the Rams have enjoyed nine days off since, while also having the luxury of playing at home against a team traveling across the country. All those factors have us siding with the chalk.

PREDICTION: L.A. Rams -17 (-110)

Over/Under Pick

While the Jets are among the worst teams in the league on defense, they are the absolute worst team in the NFL offensively, and it isn't even close.

Their 269.8 yards and 14.1 points per game are more than 30 yards and four points fewer than the second-worst Giants.

While the Rams are solid on offense, they average a modest 25 ppg and it's their stop-unit that has dominated opponents. Led by Defensive Player of the Year favorite Aaron Donald, Los Angeles is allowing the fewest yards in the league.

The Jets have gone 6-1 to the Under in their last seven games against teams with a winning record, while the Rams are 6-0 to the Under in their previous six contests at home. Take the Under again.

PREDICTION: Under 44 (-110)

Team Prop Pick

L.A. is third in the league in scoring defense with 18.9 ppg and that number gets even more impressive at home where they limit opponents to just 13 ppg.

The Rams have completely shut down the worst offenses they've faced off against, holding Washington, Chicago, New England, and the Giants to 10 or fewer points.

With the Jets averaging just 10.7 ppg on the road take the Under on their team total.

PREDICTION: New York Jets Team Total Under 13.5 (-110)

Jets vs Rams Betting Card
