The Los Angeles Chargers will look to remain in the middle of the AFC West title race as they visit the struggling Tennessee Titans on Sunday afternoon.

Los Angeles’ offense has too much firepower for Tennessee to contend with on either side of the ball, and I’m taking the visitors to cover in my Chargers vs. Titans predictions.

Chargers vs Titans prediction

Chargers vs Titans Best bet: Chargers -9.5 (-115)

The Los Angeles Chargers are coming off perhaps their best performance of the year, a 37-10 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. While Los Angeles has been inconsistent this season, the passing attack has been on point, with Justin Herbert completing 67.9% of his passes and tossing 16 touchdowns over the first eight games this year. Keenan Allen and Ladd McConkey each have over 40 catches and 450 yards on the season, with Quentin Johnston over 400 yards as well.

It's hard to see how the Tennessee Titans will deal with that multitude of options. Tennessee is allowing opponents to complete 72.5% of their passes, and ranks 28th in the league in QB rating against (102.8). I don’t see a scenario where Herbert and the Chargers don’t have at least some successful drives where they move the ball at will against this secondary.

Assuming that’s true, it’s also hard to imagine how Tennessee will keep up in anything resembling a shootout. The Titans are dead last in offensive yards per game (248.8), as well as in scoring, as they’re putting up just 13.8 ppg on the year. In fact, Tennessee has only scored 20+ points twice this season.

Unless Cam Ward suddenly turns into an elite NFL quarterback, I don’t see the Titans staying in this game for long. I’m taking the Chargers to cover on the road.

Chargers vs Titans same-game parlay

Justin Herbert and the Chargers' passing game should have a field day against the Titans' defense. I’m not only taking the Over, but I’m also counting on both Herbert and receiver Ladd McConkey to hit the Over on their respective yardage totals on Sunday.

Keenan Allan has gone for 50+ yards receiving in five of his first eight games, and should be another beneficiary of Tennessee’s exploitable secondary in Sunday’s game.

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
