Sunday serves us up a potentially one-sided game with the Cincinnati Bengals and Green Bay Packers facing off at Lambeau Field. The Bengals, minus Joe Burrow, have lost three games in a row, while the Packers will be fresh from their bye.

My Bengals vs Packers predictions and NFL picks have Green Bay covering what is a huge spread.

Tune in with kickoff at 4:25 pm on Sunday, October 13, on CBS.

Bengals vs Packers predictions

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.

Early Bengals vs Packers spread pick: Packers -14.5

-108 at FanDuel

When eying up Sunday’s games, there’s no game with as big a spread as this one.

In fact, there’s no game even within a field goal of this massive line. Despite the size, it’s well worth backing the Green Bay Packers to cover.

To analyze the Cincinnati Bengals, you need to consider what they’ve become post-Joe Burrow. Since their start, QB went down, they’ve been beaten by the Vikings, Broncos, and Lions... badly.

The Packers are 2-1-1, but they’ve looked very good at times, particularly in victories over the Lions and Commanders. They’ve been scoring an average of 26 points per game and have real potential to be explosive with Jordan Love under center, as well as Josh Jacobs and a talented WR corps.

The defense is ranked sixth in DVOA and should be able to cause serious issues for Jake Browning, who has thrown eight interceptions already this season. With a strong offense and talent across defense and special teams, we should see the Packers cover.

Early Bengals vs Packers total pick: Under 43.5

-105 at FanDuel

Despite expecting the Packers to cover that big spread, that’s partly down to a lack of faith in the Bengals' ability to put up points on this defense.

Only one team has given up fewer rushing yards on average than GB, while it also ranks 11th in passing yards allowed.

If we look at the Packers' four games so far, they’ve kept their opposition under 20 points on three of four occasions. The Browns and Lions managed just 13 points, while the Commanders hit 18.

We did see the Cowboys putting up 40 in Week 4, but Browning is not Dak Prescott, and the offensive line isn’t in the same league as those protecting Prescott.

The Under is 3-1 across the Packs' four games this season and is 2-0 at Lambeau. It’s an intimidating place to go, and with the pass-rushing duo of Rashan Gary and Micah Parsons, they’re going to be terrorizing Cincinnati.
