Miami vs Indiana best bets

Indiana Indiana -7.5 (-110 at FanDuel)

The Miami Hurricanes are on a hell of a run, but it will be the Indiana Hoosiers who will end their Championship dreams.

Indiana has absolutely whooped its opponents in the playoffs, led by Heisman Trophy QB Fernando Mendoza and an offense that doesn't make mistakes.

The same can’t be said for Miami. Carson Beck has been prone to picks, and the Hurricanes rank 113th in the country in penalties per game.

Indiana will force Miami into mistakes and generally overwhelm them, winning the National Championship with ease.

Miami vs Indiana TD picks

Indiana Omar Cooper Jr. anytime touchdown (+140 at FanDuel)

Indiana’s WR1 Elijah Sarratt tweaked his hamstring at the start of November, causing him to miss three games and clearly limiting him for three more before breaking out in the Playoff semifinal.

One of those limited games came against Ohio State in the Big Ten title game, the nation’s best passing defense — an ugly 13-10 Hoosiers’ win. With Sarratt limited, Omar Cooper Jr. stepped up and has continued to contribute even after Sarratt returned.

Cooper has scored a touchdown in each of those six games.

Miami Malachi Toney anytime touchdown (+155 at FanDuel)

Malachi Toney is one of the most electric players in this National Championship Game. While Indiana boasts an elite, disciplined defense, Toney has the game-breaking ability to make defenders miss and turn opportunities into scores.

Miami has made a concerted effort to get its dynamic playmaker the ball in a variety of ways down the stretch. He’s been targeted 59 times, hauling in 45 catches, six for touchdowns, and has scored in five of his last six games.

Miami vs Indiana prop pick

Miami Carson Beck Over 199.5 passing yards (-114 at FanDuel)

Carson Beck is going to have to throw the ball well if Miami wants a shot at winning this game.

Indiana’s defense is excellent, but Beck operates behind an elite offensive line, and the Hurricanes boast a top-10 passing offense.

Beck has eclipsed this number in 11 of 15 games, including both of Miami’s losses, while Indiana allowed Oregon’s Dante Moore to throw for 285 yards in the Peach Bowl blowout.
