Two 6-2 SEC teams collide in Death Valley as LSU hosts rival Alabama in Week 10.
My Alabama vs. LSU player props take a closer look at a trio of pass-catchers for my college football picks on Saturday, Nov. 7.
Best Alabama vs LSU props
Prop pick #1: Jackson Harris Over 62.5 Receiving Yards
Jackson Harris has taken over LSU's pass-catching room, posting 479 yards and seven touchdowns in his last four games against FBS opponents. That's 119.8 yards per game, well above his 62.5 prop in what's a tough matchup, so I'm on the Over.
Harris was Lane Kiffin's second addition through the transfer portal, and it's easy to see why he was so coveted. He's averaging a robust 2.97 yards per route run as the focal point of a passing attack that leads the nation in success rate since Week 5.
Alabama has solid personnel in the secondary, but its on-field performance simply hasn't matched its reputation. The Tide rank 93rd in EPA per pass and 117th in passing success rate in their last four games, and Harris is poised to capitalize as Sam Leavitt's preferred option.
Prop pick #2: Lotzeir Brooks Over 44.5 Receiving Yards
Lotzeir Brooks has been quiet lately, but this is a good spot to buy low. He's posted a team-high 2.30 yards per route run since Week 5, despite the gaudy statistics not always being there to match, so a reduction to 44.5 receiving yards is too much for me to stomach.
LSU has a solid defense, but it has been vulnerable to slot receivers at times. Kentucky's Kenny Darby (79 yards) and Mississippi's Traylon Ray (115 yards and a score) found room to work, and Brooks is a talented player who can capitalize.
Prop pick #3: Trey'Dez Green Anytime Touchdown
One of the top tight ends in the country, Trey'Dez Green returned from injury with 50 yards and a touchdown against Auburn in Week 8. Now with a full week to recover following the bye, Green is poised to make more noise against Alabama.
He's played in four games, racking up 50+ yards every time out and finding pay dirt twice. Green's 2.21 yards per route run is elite for a tight end, and he does that for a potent offense averaging 40.1 ppg and running the second-most plays per game (79.4).
Volume, efficiency, and health all align for Green in Week 10, so I'm betting he finds the end zone.
