The LSU Tigers have tumbled down the SEC standings after losses to Mississippi and Vanderbilt. Will they get back on track with a win over Texas A&M at Death Valley?

Ohio State, Georgia, and Notre Dame being on bye weeks means a quieter slate of college football action this weekend, but with a flurry of teams jockeying for position in the SEC, the stakes remain high.

I pick a side for Mississippi vs. Oklahoma, Texas A&M vs. LSU, and more in my Week 9 college football picks below.

Expert Week 9 CFB ATS picks

UCLA vs Indiana (-25.5): UCLA UCLA +25.5

These teams have one common opponent: Michigan State. Indiana won 38-13 at home and failed to cover; UCLA also won 38-13, but on the road. Take the points.

Mississippi vs Oklahoma (-4.5): Oklahoma Oklahoma -4.5

Mississippi's offense cruised against Georgia and still blew the cover after being up 35-26. That offense won't have the same luck against one of the best defensive units in the nation in Oklahoma.

Missouri vs Vanderbilt (-2.5): Vanderbilt Vanderbilt -2.5

Vandy moved the ball with ease against what was a touted LSU defense, and this will be Mizzou's second straight game on the road after needing a fourth-quarter comeback to take down a now 3-4 Auburn team. This will be a much tougher test for the Tigers.

Alabama (-12.5) vs South Carolina: Alabama Alabama -12.5

Time is running out for a South Carolina squad that entered the year with real SEC title aspirations. Alabama is mowing down ranked opponents week after week, and SC has found the end zone just twice over its last two games.

Texas (-7.5) vs Mississippi State: Mississippi State Mississippi State +7.5

This shorter spread is a direct reflection of Texas getting outgained 395-179 by Kentucky despite holding on for a win in overtime. I'll lean towards the home side until Arch Manning gives me a reason to trust him on the road.

Texas A&M (-2.5) vs LSU: LSU LSU +2.5

Fading LSU paid off last week, but Texas A&M flew awfully close to the sun against Arkansas last week. With this being a night game at Death Valley, I expect the desperate Tigers to get back on track.

Michigan (-13.5) vs Michigan State: Michigan State Michigan State +13.5

Michigan pulled away from Washington, but that was very much a coin flip game before some ugly (and costly) Demond Williams Jr. interceptions. Taking the points with the home team is the way to go.

Tennessee (-9.5) vs Kentucky: Tennessee Tennessee -9.5

Tennessee's offense is capable of putting up points in a way Texas couldn't last week. Lay the number so long as it stays below -10.
