If you try to claim this game as a lookahead spot for the Kentucky Wildcats, I disagree. There will be a four-day gap between this evening's game and Tuesday night's late matchup against Kansas in Chicago.
It's way too early in the season for anyone to have their foot off the gas pedal, especially while teams are still working out their kinks.
Plus, who has James Madison played to even remotely prepare for a top-30 team in the country? Richmond? VCU? Both are very talented teams, but Kentucky got ready for the season by playing Texas Tech before the season started.
