After finally notching their first win, the Miami Heat are priced as a heavy 8.5-point favorite tonight against the Tyrese Haliburton-less Indiana Pacers, with tip-off for this NBA Cup clash scheduled for 8 p.m. ET at the Kaseya Center.
However, my Pacers vs Heat predictions see value in Indiana against the spread, as I feel Miami is getting more respect than they deserve here.

The Indiana Pacers may be without Tyrese Haliburton, but they can make this contest competitive. Indy has lost its last two games by eight and five points, both enough to cover tonight's spread. The Miami Heat are also 0-3 ATS at home, losing all three outright.
Miami's defense is a legitimate concern, with opponents shooting nearly 40% from deep. While the Pacers haven't found their stroke from three-point land, they rank third in the NBA in assists, averaging 29.4 per night. The Heat are also allowing 28.4 assists per contest, giving the visitors another avenue to exploit.
With Andrew Nembhard expected to play alongside Pascal Siakam, Indiana can cover this large spread.

Pacers vs Heat combo
I'm targeting Under 237.5 points. Both teams are averaging fewer than 116 PPG, and Indiana's injuries could limit its offensive efficiency. With Haliburton and TJ McConnell sidelined, the Pacers are missing key playmakers. Despite Miami's defensive struggles, I expect a low-scoring game.
I'll round out my combo with an Obi Toppin prop. The 28-year-old is shooting a respectable 40.7% from downtown so far, and he's cashed the Over in two of his last three outings. Toppin faces a Heat perimeter defense that struggles to defend the three, giving him a favorable matchup.

Nembhard will be the main facilitator with Haliburton out, but Siakam will also be key in distributing the ball. The veteran has cashed the Over in dimes in two of his last three contests, and the Heat's defense isn't exactly elite at limiting ball movement.
Additionally, Miami is giving up four assists per night to opposing power forwards. With McConnell not suiting up either, the Pacers will need Siakam to step up as a passer. Although he had only three dimes against Philly earlier this week, this matchup is much easier.
He'll hit 4+ assists.

Ivica Zubac remains out for the Pacers, leaving a large hole at center that Giannis Antetokounmpo can exploit on the glass. The big man is averaging 11.2 rebounds per game, and he's cleared 12 in back-to-back contests.
In fact, Giannis has 32 boards in his last two games alone, and Indiana is 24th in the league in opponent rebounds allowed. They've also allowed nearly 48.7 boards per night across their previous three games.
Antetokounmpo shouldn't have many issues controlling the glass in South Beach.
