Blue Jays Picks, Predictions & Best Bets vs the Twins for June 7

Blue Jays catcher Alejandro Kirk has been on fire since the beginning of May, batting .366. Most of those hits have been singles, and that's how we're finding value today vs. Chris Paddack and the Twins.

Minnesota Twins starter Chris Paddack is primed for regression on the mound, and my Blue Jays predictions expect hitter Alejandro Kirk will expose him today to keep his hitting streak alive.

Blue Jays predictions for June 7

Today’s Blue Jays best bet: Kirk plays all the hit singles.

Pick (-110 at BetVictor)

Minnesota Twins right-hander Chris Paddack has been impressive over his last five starts, sporting a 1.61 ERA.

However, Paddack’s metrics suggest some regression is coming, and the red-hot Toronto Blue Jays bats should be able to expose the Twins righty.

Paddack owns a .256 xBA and a 4.02 xERA, ranking below the 50th percentile in baseball.

Moreover, Paddack has been giving up contact, and hard contact at that. The Jays have many hitters in their lineup who have exploited contact pitchers.

Alejandro Kirk has been Toronto's most consistent hitter. He’s batting .366 since May 1, and his underlying metrics back up the success.

He ranks in the 98th percentile in xBA (.315) while ranking in the Top-4% of baseball in hard-hit rate, squared-up percentage, and strikeouts.

Of Kirk's 56 hits on the year, 47 are singles. Thus, there’s much better value on him to specifically hit a single (-110) than to record a hit of any kind.

Furthermore, this prop has hit in 11 of Kirk’s last 13 games.

Today’s Blue Jays same-game parlay (SGP)

Alejandro Kirk Over 0.5 singles

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 0.5 hits

Chris Paddack Under 4.5 strikeouts

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has the third-highest xBA in MLB and has recorded one or more hits in seven of his last nine outings. He also has 34 career hits against the Twins in 27 outings.

Paddack has recorded fewer than five strikeouts in five of his last seven starts, and the Jays have the lowest strikeout rate in all of baseball (18.2%).
