We’ve got four games on the MLB playoff slate today, including Game Two of the ALDS between the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has six multi-hit games in a row against the Yankees, and I expect his bat to stay hot this afternoon and collect two or more bases in seven straight outings against New York.

Blue Jays ALDS Game 2 best bet: Vladdy leads by example

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 total bases (+125 at BET99)

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. I’m going back to the well and betting on Vladimir Guerrero Jr. again in Game Two of the series

The Toronto Blue Jays slugger had a monster first game of the series, going 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.

It was a continuation of dominant play against the New York Yankees all season long, where he posted a .373 average with a 1.007 OPS, while averaging 2.23 bases per game across 13 regular-season contests against his AL East rival.

I expect him to continue to be a thorn in the side of the Yankees this afternoon, especially considering his success against Yankees starter Max Fried throughout his career.

Fried has a 19-5 record with a 2.86 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP this year. He also limits hard contact and induces a lot of ground balls, ranking in the 89th percentile in ground-ball rate.

However, his lifetime stats against Vladdy aren’t nearly as impressive. Guerrero Jr has five hits in 20 at-bats, three of which have been for extra bases with five RBI in the process.

Guerrero Jr. has a .367 xBA against the cutter, which is Fried’s most-used pitch. His next most used pitch is the sinker, for which Guerrero has a .363 batting average against that pitch.

Additionally, Guerrero Jr. has cashed the Over on this prop in six straight meetings, shading the Yanks. Let’s make it seven straight tonight.

Today’s Blue Jays Game 2 same-game parlay (SGP)

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 total bases

George Springer Over 0.5 runs

Trey Yesavage Ove 4.5 strikeouts

For the second leg of the SGP, I’ll take George Springer to score a run. He’s crossed home plate 107 times this season, hitting the Over in 66% of his outings since the All-Star break, including in yesterday's Game One Win. So getting plus-money feels like great value.

Additionally, he’s 5-for-15 lifetime against Fried with a pair of walks and a 1.078 OPS.

For the final leg, I’m backing the Jays’ starter, Trey Yesavage, to go Over 4.5 strikeouts. He’s averaging 5.33 strikeouts per start, and the Yankees are a high strikeout club, ranking 25th in K%, striking out in 23.5% of their at-bats. They also struggle with the slider, which is Yesavage's put-away pitch.
