Week 9 kicks off with a Thursday Night Football matchup full of storylines, as the Baltimore Ravens travel to South Florida to face the Miami Dolphins.
With Lamar Jackson set to return, the Ravens come into action favored by 7.5 points while the total is on the high end at 50.
Although either side of the spread makes for a solid argument tonight, my Ravens vs. Dolphins predictions see no debate on the total, with a high-scoring affair expected.
Let’s break down my NFL picks for Thursday, October 30.
Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, with the game airing on Prime Video.

Ravens vs Dolphins prediction
Ravens vs Dolphins Best bet: Over 50 (-110)
There’s an absolute avalanche of trends and stats to support a lot of points being scored at Hard Rock Stadium.
The Over has hit in nine straight Miami Dolphins home games. The Miami offense has been showing up in these as it's scored at least 27 points in eight straight home games, which includes exactly 27 in all three of their home stands this season.
The Baltimore Ravens are also trending heavily toward the Over, as it’s hit in six of their seven games. Most notably, the four games that Lamar Jackson has played have all resulted in at least 57 combined points being scored, with an average of 66. Baltimore has scored 30+ points in seven of Lamar’s last eight regular-season starts.
Aside from both cashing in on a lot of Overs lately, another thing the teams have in common is defenses that each rank near the bottom of the league in many important categories.
This game sets up nicely for Tua Tagovailoa and a Dolphins offense coming off their most impressive performance of the season. Tua should have plenty of time to work against a Ravens defense that ranks 30th in pressure percentage and 25th or worse in yards per play allowed, opponent third-down conversion percentage, and opponent red-zone touchdown conversion percentage.
On the other side, Miami’s defense is right there with Baltimore in those categories and has allowed six of its eight opponents to drop at least 27 points.
Now, combine all this with some lovely Miami weather, and we’ve got ourselves a great recipe for an Over!
Ravens vs Dolphins TNF same-game parlay
Miami's defense is 26th in yards allowed per pass attempt, and allowed quality QBs in Drake Maye, Josh Allen, and Justin Herbert to all throw for at least two touchdowns.
Tua comes into the game with great momentum and has already thrown for two or more touchdowns five times this season. I like his chances of picking up where he left off last week vs a Ravens defense that's allowing 250.7 passing yards per game.
Ravens vs Dolphins 4-leg SGP (+1034)
- Tua Tagovailoa Over 1.5 touchdown passes
- Lamar Jackson Over 1.5 touchdown passes
- Tua Tagovailoa Over 217.5 passing yards
- Lamar Jackson Over 234.5 passing yards
Our big-ticket SGP: Offensive onslaught
Lamar’s always a threat to find the end zone with his legs, and this matchup sets up well for him. The Dolphins have already allowed a league-high four rushing touchdowns to quarterbacks this season.
If Miami brings pressure, Lamar’s scrambling ability could easily turn it into six points.
Ravens vs Dolphins 5-leg SGP (+2907)
- Tua Tagovailoa Over 1.5 touchdown passes
- Lamar Jackson Over 1.5 touchdown passes
- Tua Tagovailoa Over 217.5 passing yards
- Lamar Jackson Over 234.5 passing yards
- Lamar Jackson anytime touchdown
Ravens vs Dolphins game predictions
Ravens vs Dolphins moneyline prediction
While the Ravens defense has plenty of holes, there’s no doubt that this is a dramatically different team with Jackson under center.
This is a desperate spot for Baltimore, as it has a big hole to dig out of. I don’t expect the Ravens to take their foot off the gas.
Ravens vs Dolphins spread prediction
There’s undoubtedly a gap between these teams with Jackson active, but there’s no denying that the Dolphins are much more competitive at home, especially after seeing them keep it close with the Chargers and Patriots this season.
I think they’ll make enough plays to avoid getting embarrassed and cover the 7.5.
Ravens vs Dolphins Over/Under prediction
Each offense has found a major spark coming. Baltimore has its MVP back, and Miami has some momentum off its best performance of the season.
With plenty of holes in each defense, expect the offenses to shine.
Ravens vs Dolphins odds
- Spread: Baltimore -7.5 (-110) | Miami +7.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Baltimore -425 | Miami +325
- Over/Under: Over 50.5 (-110) | Under 50.5 (-110)

Ravens vs Dolphins latest injuries
Lamar Jackson is expected to start tonight against the Dolphins after missing three games with a right hamstring strain. He practiced fully this week in consecutive sessions and was removed from the final injury report. John Harbaugh said the team is “very confident” he’ll play.
Barring a late setback in warmups, Jackson will reclaim the offense, sending Tyler Huntley back to the sidelines for backup duty. His mobility may be monitored, yet the club views him as healthy enough for a normal workload.
Ravens vs Dolphins weather
Fans and players alike can look forward to a warm South Florida night at Hard Rock Stadium. Temperatures should be in the mid-70s°F near kickoff, sliding toward the low 70s by the fourth quarter, with mostly clear skies and no meaningful rain in the area.
Winds look light to modest, the kind that might ruffle a punt but won’t wreck a passing game. Humidity will still be there, but not the swampy August version, so fatigue shouldn’t spike as fast. Field and ball conditions should be clean, which is exactly what coaches want for a primetime game.
Those conditions favor whichever offense can operate in space. A dry track and light wind help Miami’s timing and speed concepts.
For Baltimore, the upside is different: good footing makes QB runs, option looks, and downhill gap schemes more efficient, and a dry ball protects their ball-control game.
Special teams should be fairly stable, so the edge may come down to who wins the explosive-play battle, not who survives the weather.
