The return of the NFL season also means the return of NFL player props.

The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots pick up where they left off, with a rematch of Super Bowl LX opening the 2026 schedule. That Week 1 game garners a long list of options for your NFL picks.

I’ve got three Patriots vs. Seahawks prop picks to follow for Sept. 9.

Prop pick #1: Hunter Henry – Yes 3+ receptions

Kalshi probability: 54%

The New England Patriots have more pass-catching options in 2026 with some big-name adds at receiver. But when the chips are down, QB Drake Maye is going to turn to old reliable.

Tight end Hunter Henry was second in targets last season and is one of the best zone-busting TEs in the NFL, rated No. 4 versus zone at PFF in 2025.

He’ll face predominantly zone coverage from the Seattle Seahawks defense in Week 1 (Seattle was No. 2 in zone usage in 2025).

Seattle was busy with rival TEs last year, allowing the fifth most receptions to the position – a product of the Seahawks' pass rush forcing pressured QBs to check down to tight ends.

Henry was targeted five times for three grabs and 31 yards against Seattle in Super Bowl LX. His Week 1 projections all sit above three receptions with some leaning toward four catches.

Prop pick #2: Sam Darnold – Yes 10+ rushing yards

Kalshi probability: 34%

Even before his renaissance in Minnesota and championship run in Seattle, I was a believer in Sam Darnold. Toot toot.

One aspect of his game I appreciate is Darnold’s sneaky speed. He’s a lot faster than you think and we’ve seen Darnold haul ass when need be, including 14 rushing yards in SBLX.

I expect there to be some hiccups in the Seahawks’ playbook, given Klint Kubiak is gone and new OC Brian Fleury is calling the shots. Seattle’s rushing attack isn’t what it was, leaving Darnold to shoulder the load.

If Fleury can’t get the ground game going, the Patriots will bring the heat and force Darnold to run for his life. His Week 1 projections sit around 10 rushing yards on Wednesday.

Prop pick #3: Rhamondre Stevenson – Yes 1+ touchdown

Kalshi probability: 44%

The Patriots are running thin in the backfield heading into the opener. Second-year RB TreVeyon Henderson is questionable after missing practice with a bum ankle.

That news has set Rhamondre Stevenson props on fire, with his carries, yards and TD markets making major moves the past 48 hours.

While the inflated totals on those props may be too much to tangle with, I still like Stevenson to score a touchdown in Week 1.

He was a beast in the red zone at the end of last season, not only running it in but also catching passes for six points. He also snagged a 7-yard toss for a TD versus Seattle in the Super Bowl.

His projections sit as high as a 53% shot at scoring a TD in Week 1 and even if Henderson does play, Stevenson is still the top option in the RZ.
