Expert NFL combo picks for Week 5

Eagles vs Jaguars: 5.05x

The Eagles have surrendered 56 passing completions and the fifth-highest dropback success rate over the past two weeks, so Jags QB Trevor Lawrence is set up to play pitch and catch Sunday.

Lawrence has thrown for a career-high 69.2 completion percentage and 77.3 adjusted completion percentage to start the year.

Philly has also allowed the fifth-highest rushing success rate and a healthy 4.13 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Jags No. 2 running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. has made the most of his opportunities this season, averaging 4.2 yards per carry while ranking eighth in rushing efficiency and 12th in yards after contact per carry.

Rodriguez has also rushed for at least 35 yards in back-to-back games and could see an even bigger workload spelling lead back Bhayshul Tuten if Jacksonville builds a comfortable lead.

Bears vs Packers: 4.55x

The totals cutoff has gone up by a point as the week has gone on, but the percentage dropped, making it still a good risk. I’d take over 45.5 up to 55%.

The Bears were expected to have one of the most explosive offenses in recent NFL memory before Williams’ got hurt, and Ben Johnson’s offense has gradually found its way since the injury. The Packers finally became two-dimensional on offense last week, with their best rushing day of the season.

Chicago rushed for 232 yards last week, the fourth time they’ve topped 230 since the start of last season. That’s twice as often as any other team has done it. An effective run game opens up the passing game which has a large number of options. The Bears are averaging 429 yards a week and that’s including the 275-yard outing the week Williams got hurt mid-game.

Chicago’s offense is also boosted by the injury to Green Bay Packers’ linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, who had a season-ending Achilles tear last week. He’s been Green Bay’s best pass rusher, and the Packers’ run D will also suffer from his absence.

Texans vs Titans: 7.25x

Although Tennessee struggles immensely to score points, they've done a respectable job limiting opponents. The Titans rank ninth in the NFL in fewest points allowed at 20.8 per game and sit 15th in total yards allowed.

That sets up the type of game script I'd want for Houston -7.5 and Under 37.5. The Texans finally found some offensive rhythm last week, but they don't need another 30-point performance here. A result in the 24-10 or 24-13 range would cash.

Collins has only played twice this season, but he's cleared 60.5 receiving yards in both appearances while averaging 13.8 yards per catch. Tennessee has also allowed 175+ receiving yards to opposing WRs in three of four games.

With Collins commanding roughly a 29% target share in his two appearances, he should see enough volume to clear this number again.

Bengals vs Dolphins: 2.51x

Playable to 42%.

In August, I wrote that the 2026 Dolphins might be the worst football team we have seen in the NFL since the 0-16 Browns. Nothing we have seen during the first month of the regular season has offered much evidence to disprove that prognostication.

Miami is averaging a league-worst 11.5 points per game. Only the Vikings and Chargers rank worse in offensive DVOA, and only the Chargers have committed a higher rate of turnovers.

The Dolphins rank 28th in defensive DVOA and 30th in completion percentage allowed over expected. Prior to Week 4, Miami hadn't forced a punt in the first half of a game in 2026.

Cincinnati's final injury report for Week 5 is of concern, but their key players are trending in a positive direction and seemingly have a good chance to play on Sunday. The Bengals offense ranks seventh in yards per drive and has gone 3-and-out at the eighth-lowest rate in the NFL this season. This is a winnable game for the Bengals, even if they aren't at full strength.

Check out Nick Galiada's full Bengals vs. Dolphins predictions.

Raiders vs Patriots: 6.25x

These two defenses both rank among the top 12 in the NFL in EPA per play and points allowed. The Patriots have played only one game that has reached this week’s total, and that came against a Bills team that tends to push the scoring higher on both sides of the ball.

I’m backing the Under.

To complete this combo, I’m taking Brock Bowers to record at least 75 receiving yards. Bowers has topped 86 yards in each game he’s played this season, while Las Vegas has targeted its tight ends 53 times, the most in the NFL.

A healthy Bowers should have little trouble reaching this mark on Sunday.

Vikings vs Saints: 5.95x

I'm using Minnesota's moneyline instead of the spread because I'd rather increase my combo's win probability than worry about the Vikings winning by margin.

I'm also counting on a "get-right game" from Minnesota's offense, including a touchdown from RB Aaron Jones.

New Orleans plays at the NFL's fastest offensive pace, and the Saints have allowed three opponents to score 31+ points. If Minnesota gets ahead, NOLA will be forced to play catch-up. That creates more opportunities for Minnesota's attacking defense to contribute to the Over with a pick-six or strip-sack touchdown.

Check out Geoff Clark's full Vikings vs. Saints predictions.

Browns vs Jets: 4.85x

I firmly believe Cleveland has a legitimate shot at winning its fourth consecutive game, and the game script I'm expecting also sets up nicely for one player prop from each side.

Quinshon Judkins is only averaging three YPC, but he's had a pair of productive games over the last two weeks, surpassing this total in both. The Jets are also horrible against the run, ranking 25th.

Garrett Wilson, meanwhile, remains one of Geno Smith's top weapons. He has 31 targets in four games and 24 total receptions.

Wilson had a tough game in Week 4, but he cashed the Over in catches in his three previous appearances. Cleveland isn't exactly stout downfield, ranking 23rd against the pass.

Check out Quinn Allen's full Browns vs. Jets predictions.

Colts vs Steelers: 4.95x

I’m expecting both offenses to struggle moving the ball through the air, with the weather forecast calling for a 98% chance of heavy rain from the remnants of Hurricane Isaias and steady 12-mph winds.

The field at Acrisure Stadium is likely to be highly compromised, too, which should lead to sloppy football and conservative, ground-heavy game scripts.

With both teams likely leaning on the ground game, the clock should continue to churn and keep this total Under the number.

Turning to Steelers running back Jaylen Warren, he’s run wild over the past two weeks for 220 total yards and is set up for success again against the highlighted soft Indy run defense.

Check out Neil Parker's full Colts vs. Steelers predictions.

Giants vs Commanders: 4.00x

Neither team has shown enough defensive consistency to steer me away from the Over, which is now 7-3 in Winston's past 10 starts. Instead, even in wet conditions, I see the Giants covering the spread by attacking a Washington team that's been stout against the run but is still allowing 30.5 PPG this season.

The Commanders' offensive spark would take a big hit if McLaurin is ruled out, but Daniels' mobility gives the hosts a chance to sustain drives against a New York pass rush that's only recorded three sacks.

Nabers' knee soreness made some headlines this week, but he'll be the No.1 option for the visitors as long as he's on the field. He's finished with 5+ catches in three of his four outings this year, and he can punish the hosts if they stack the box against Skattebo.

Check out Tom Oldfield's full Giants vs. Commanders predictions.

Broncos vs Chargers: 2.93x

Playable to 36%.

Denver's offense has struggled mightily early in 2026, but much of those struggles are likely a result of Davis Webb's unimaginative play-calling. The Broncos scored on their opening possession 43% of the time from 2023-to-2025 with Sean Payton calling plays — a rate 10% higher than the league average. Denver hadn't recorded a single first down through four weeks on their opening possession with Webb calling plays to begin 2026.

The Chargers starting offensive line in Week 5 is likely to feature three rookies and an undrafted free agent who hadn't played a regular season snap prior to being forced into action in Week 4 against the Seahawks.

The Broncos have the better head coach and are the healthier team heading into this weekend. Their defense might not be at full strength, but their offense should be able to score enough points to win this game.

Check out Nick Galiada's full Broncos vs. Chargers predictions.

Lions vs Cardinals: 12.04x

I'm expecting Detroit to control this game without needing a shootout. I have the Lions winning 29-20, which gives them enough margin to cover while keeping the total comfortably below 54.5.

Detroit defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard also blew up at the media earlier this week, and I expect his defense to back him up on the field Sunday.

If the Lions play from ahead, it can lean on their running game in the second half, bleed clock, and make Arizona chase points against Detroit's aggressive pass rush. That same offensive control should give Lions tight end Sam LaPorta opportunities near the goal line.

Arizona already struggles covering tight ends, and Detroit's other weapons demand so much attention that LaPorta can find favorable matchups over the middle. A methodical Lions win with LaPorta finishing one drive fits all three legs nicely.

Check out Geoff Clark's full Lions vs. Cardinals predictions.

49ers vs Seahawks: 4.00x

I’m going with Seattle -3.5 in this combo to boost the return.

The Seahawks will be leaning on running back Emanuel Wilson again in Week 5, and I’m expecting him to have success running behind an offensive line ranked ninth in PFF run-blocking grade.

San Fran has also allowed the third-highest rushing success rate while ranking 24th in run-stop win rate, and will be without Bosa again Sunday.

Wilson scored in Week 4 in the go-to role while picking up 3.43 yards after contact per attempt with a solid 100.0 PFF elusive rating.

Check out Neil Parker's full 49ers vs. Seahawks predictions.

Ravens vs Falcons: 9.00x

Falcons fever is spreading after two national-stage wins. But beating up on a busted Packers team on a short week and bullying the Saints' shoddy defense isn’t winning me over. Baltimore has been without Lamar before, and this defense is a prideful group that shows up on SNF.

Drake London hasn’t scored a touchdown in 2026, but with Baltimore stacking the box to slow down Robinson & Robinson, London could slip out for a score. Some models put his TD probability as high as 52%.

Mark Andrews is always busy when Huntley takes over under center. The veteran TE sees his targets tick up, and all projections call for 30+ receiving yards against Atlanta.
