All eyes are on Lamar Jackson's ankle this Sunday night as the Ravens take on the Falcons. Jason Logan weighs that injury and what these teams bring to the table in Week 5.

We're on “Ankle Watch” for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson in Week 5 after he left midway through last week with an injury and is listed as day-to-day heading into a non-conference clash with a suddenly surging Atlanta Falcons squad on Sunday Night Football.

My early Falcons vs. Ravens prediction weighs Jackson’s status vs. the swell in public perception for Atlanta, giving my early leans and NFL picks for Oct. 11.

Early Ravens vs Falcons moneyline pick: Falcons

Kalshi probability: 56%

Lamar Jackson’s official status will flip this market on its ear later in the week.

The latest reports say he has an outside shot of playing in Week 5. Are we getting some gamesmanship from the Baltimore Ravens with their QB? Perhaps.

Even if Lamar plays, his ability to run the ball will be diminished against an Atlanta Falcons pass rush generating solid pressure with the front four. That gives the linebackers flexibility to spy or drop into coverage.

Backup QB Tyler Huntley is capable, but should he get the start, the Falcons run-stop unit will sell out to slow down Derrick Henry and force Baltimore to throw at this sneaky good secondary.

Public perception is swelling with positivity for Atlanta after two prime-time victories. I’ll keep it simple with an outright lean toward the home team, but I’m cautious given the market moves and the Falcons playing on a short week.

Early Ravens vs Falcons total pick: Under 45.5

Kalshi probability: 56%

This Sunday Night Football contest will turn into a game of “keep-away” as both offenses are anchored in the run, sitting No. 1 and No. 3 in rushing play percentage.

The Falcons go deep into the play clock before snapping the ball — at least with Penix Jr. under center. Atlanta has averaged 32:53 in time of possession over the past two games.

This Over/Under is taller, considering the 80 total points scored by the Falcons in that stretch. Baltimore is a step up defensively, especially with Trey Hendrickson expected back.

Offensively, Baltimore is methodical even with Jackson at the wheel. If he sits out Week 5, this attack will run considerably slower with the backup QB and lean even more on RB Derrick Henry.

Short gains with the clock ticking and two sound defenses clear a path to the Under on Sunday night.
