The Arizona Cardinals head to The Big Easy for Week 1 of the NFL season to face the New Orleans Saints at Caesars Superdome.

Marvin Harrison Jr. is one of Kyler Murray’s top targets, and my Cardinals vs. Saints predictions expect him to make some noise in the opener.

Cardinals vs Saints prediction

Cardinals vs Saints Best bet: Marvin Harrison Jr. anytime TD (+140)

The Arizona Cardinals may not be a surefire playoff team at this point, but they made a brilliant pick when they selected Marvin Harrison Jr. in the 2024 draft.

He proceeded to enjoy a stellar rookie campaign, reeling in 62 receptions for 885 yards and eight touchdowns. He was Kyler Murray’s top wide-out, with tight end Trey McBride leading the team in catches.

Harrison Jr. put on substantial muscle this offseason, and he’ll definitely be in line for an even larger workload in 2025. The New Orleans Saints had a poor pass defense last year, allowing over 238 yards per game downfield.

They didn’t make a lot of changes to their secondary either, which means Harrison Jr. has the chance to cook on Sunday. Look for him to be involved a lot, and the youngster may just catch his first TD of the campaign.

Cardinals vs Saints same-game parlay

Murray has struggled with consistency and injuries at points in his NFL career, but 2024 was an impressive campaign for him on a personal level. He completed 68.8% of his passes for 3,851 yards and 21 touchdowns against 11 interceptions.

The signal-caller cashed the Over in passing yards in six of his final seven games last season, and as previously mentioned, the Saints aren’t great at defending the pass. I’m expecting an impressive showing from the Oklahoma product.

Arizona hasn’t won in New Orleans in almost 30 years. However, their last meeting was in 2022, and a lot has changed since then. The Saints turn to young QB Spencer Rattler, who wasn’t exactly elite when he did play last year.

The Cardinals have a lot more experience, and some intriguing weapons on both sides of the ball. Arizona should make noise offensively and take advantage of New Orleans’ subpar defense.

Cardinals vs Saints 3-leg SGP

  • Marvin Harrison Jr. anytime TD
  • Kyler Murray Over 218.5 passing yards
  • Cardinals -6.5

Our big-ticket SGP: Olave adds intrigue

  • Chris Olave had a pair of 1,000-yard seasons in 2022 and 2023 before injuries last year. He’ll get off to a good start as Rattler’s top option.

Cardinals vs Saints 4-leg SGP

  • Marvin Harrison Jr. anytime TD
  • Kyler Murray Over 218.5 passing yards
  • Cardinals -6.5
  • Chris Olave Over 49.5 receiving yards

Cardinals vs Saints game predictions

Cardinals vs Saints moneyline prediction

The Cardinals sit as a -270 moneyline road favorite. Again, they’re a more experienced squad who could actually be a dark horse in the NFC West. The Saints are in a rebuild and remain years away from potentially contending. I’ll take Arizona with confidence.

Cardinals vs Saints spread prediction

The Cards should be productive offensively and their defense won’t have any issues containing Rattler, who will be adjusting to being a QB1 at the NFL level. A victory by a touchdown, at the very least, is certainly possible.

Cardinals vs Saints Over/Under prediction

The total is set at just 42.5, but even though the Cardinals have some intriguing pieces on the offensive side of the ball, they’re not elite, either. Expect a relatively low-scoring affair, but I do see Arizona doing the lion's share of the scoring. Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave are about all that New Orleans has, and Kamara isn’t in his prime anymore.

Cardinals vs Saints odds

  • Spread: Cardinals -6.5 | Saints +6.5
  • Moneyline: Cardinals -270 | Saints +220
  • Over/Under: Over 42.5 | Under 42.5
