The Indianapolis Colts return home to host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Oct. 18, with Indy favored by nearly a touchdown despite some concerning underlying metrics.
My Titans vs. Colts prediction sees value in Tennessee in this AFC South showdown, with the Titans' defense giving them a legitimate chance to make things uncomfortable at Lucas Oil Stadium.

TOP Pick
Titans vs Colts prediction: Titans +6.5
It's ugly, but I'd trade the Tennessee Titans +6.5, down to +5.5, against the Indianapolis Colts.
This is more of an anti-Indianapolis pick than pro-Tennessee. The Colts are 31st in net yards per play, 29th in early-down EPA per play differential, and 32nd in net quarterback pressure rate. I know the Titans suck, but should any team with that type of profile be a 6.5-point favorite?
Also, after starting out last season hot, his first in Indianapolis, QB Daniel Jones is back to being terrible. Jones is 24th in adjusted EPA per play, according to RBSDM.com, and 26th in QBR.
The bottom line: Jones and the Colts aren't good enough to be laying this many points.

Titans vs Colts combo
A Tennessee cover should correlate with an ugly, lower-scoring game, so I'm pairing Titans +6.5 with Under 44.5 and RB Tony Pollard 60+ rushing yards.
Tennessee needs to shorten this game and keep QB Cam Ward out of obvious passing situations. That means establishing the run with Pollard against an Indianapolis defense ranked 27th in yards per rush allowed. That ground-heavy approach helps the Under.
Neither offense has been trustworthy on late downs, and Tennessee and Indianapolis are tied for 24th in third-down conversion rate. A competitive game featuring long possessions, field goals, and limited explosive passing plays is exactly what I'm looking for.
Titans vs Colts combo
- Tony Pollard Over 59.5 rushing yards
- Titans +6.5
- Under 44.5
Titans vs Colts touchdown scorer: Carnell Tate
I'd trade Carnell Tate's anytime touchdown probability up to 30%.
Tate, the first receiver selected in the 2026 NFL Draft at No. 4 overall, is overdue for his first score. He has 37 targets this season, and Atlanta's Drake London is the only other pass-catcher with at least 37 targets who still doesn't have a receiving touchdown.
The matchup also helps. All five Indianapolis starting defensive backs have failing PFF grades, while the Colts rank 22nd in defensive dropback EPA per play, according to RBSDM.com.
If there’s ever a spot for Tate to finally break through, this is it.
