Bears vs 49ers SNF best bets

Bears Bears +3.5

-118 at FanDuel

The San Francisco 49ers have home-field advantage, but the Chicago Bears have an extra day of rest and the superior defense.

With this spread sitting at the key number of 3, I'll take Chicago with the points.

Bears/49ers Over 52.5

-105 at FanDuel

The San Francisco 49ers sport an explosive attack that ranks fourth in offensive DVOA and second in success rate.

However, their stop unit sits just 29th in defensive success rate, which is why I'm leaning towards the Over on a lofty total.

Bears vs 49ers SNF TD picks

Bears DJ Moore anytime TD

+200 at FanDuel

It’s no coincidence that DJ Moore's usage in the last couple of weeks has been upped while Rome Odunze sits again with a foot injury.

Moore’s stint as the reclaimed No. 1 didn’t start well, caching one ball for -4 yards against the Packers, but he’s been the primary target since.

The veteran had four catches, 69 yards, and a pair of TD grabs in a win over Cleveland, and then a big time rebound against the same Packers.

Moore caught five passes for 97 yards, none bigger than a 46-yard TD bomb in OT to come back and beat the Pack.

The Niners are Bottom-10 in passing yards against, and they have a paltry 16 sacks on the year. Caleb Williams should have all day to find Moore, and hopefully for a third straight game in paydirt.

Bears vs 49ers SNF props

49ers Christian McCaffrey Over 66.5 rushing yards

-114 at FanDuel

While Christian McCaffrey is once again among the leaders in all-purpose yards this season, this is arguably the worst rushing season he’s had since his rookie year. While the 29-year-old has surpassed the 1,000-yard mark for the third time in four years, he’s averaging just 3.7 yards per carry on the ground, well below his career average.

Still, it’s hard to justify a rushing total this low for McCaffrey. He’s put up at least 70 yards rushing in four of his last five games for the San Francisco 49ers, and is coming off one of his best games of the year, a 117-yard performance where he averaged 5.6 yards per carry and had his longest rush of the season.

San Francisco should also find success on the ground against the Chicago Bears. While the 49ers are dead last in the NFL at 3.6 yards per rush this season, the Bears are near the bottom of the league defensively against the run, giving up an average of five yards per play on the ground.

McCaffrey figures to get plenty of usage — as usual — on Sunday, and the Bears aren’t a team that’s likely to end his recent run of strong performances. I’m taking the Over on 66.5 rushing yards.
