The San Francisco 49ers are 31st in the league in defensive success rate since Nick Bosa tore his ACL in Week 3. That stop unit has been even worse after losing All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner to a season-ending injury in October.
San Francisco's offense was held to three points and 173 yards in their season finale and now travels across the country to face an elite Philadelphia Eagles defense. Philly rested many of its starters last week and ranked second in the NFL in defensive success rate between Weeks 8 and 17.

Saquon Barkley started off slow this season but picked up steam, averaging 100 rushing yards per game over the last four weeks. The 49ers rank 31st in success rate against the run, and their linebacker corps has been decimated by injuries to Warner, Tatum Bethune, Dee Winters, and Nick Martin.
That injury-plagued LB corps has struggled to defend tight ends, allowing 99 receptions and 10 touchdowns to the position. That's bad news against Dallas Goedert, who leads the Eagles in TDs (11) and red-zone targets (15).

Barkley will gash a brutal run defense, and 49ers Pro Bowl RB Christian McCaffrey should also have success. He's rushed for more than 70 yards in five of his last seven games while scoring a touchdown in six of those contests.
The two games during that span in which C-Mac had fewer than 70 rushing yards were against Cleveland and Seattle, who rank in the Top 5 in defensive rush success rate, while Philly ranks 18th in that metric.
