The Texas defense hasn't faced a quarterback of Chambliss' caliber since Julian Sayin in Week 2. Are the Longhorns in for another tough week?

Coming off yet another loss, the Texas Longhorns must regroup quickly before facing one of the most talented players in the country, Ole Miss star quarterback Trinidad Chambliss.

My Ole Miss vs. Texas prop picks break down how Chambliss can carve up this corpse of a defense while the Rebels' defense takes care of business against a struggling Texas offense.

Before diving in, be sure to check out all of our Ole Miss vs. Texas predictions and college football picks for Week 8.

Best Ole Miss vs Texas props

Prop pick #1: Trinidad Chambliss Over 241.5 passing yards

I mentioned in my underdog picks for Week 8 that Florida freshman Tramell Jones Jr. completed nearly 63% of his passes in his first career start against this Texas defense.

A week later, the Longhorns must face one of the most talented quarterbacks in the country, and Ole Miss star Trinidad Chambliss should dominate this matchup.

Despite Texas ranking 10th in passing yards allowed per game, the Rebels are going to throw the ball. If they're playing from behind, as the spread suggests, Chambliss will be slinging the pill. This Longhorns defense hasn't faced a quarterback this talented since Julian Sayin in Week 2, when he threw for 278 yards.

Ole Miss needs a statement game following that awful loss to Florida. This is the time.

Playable up to 245 yards.

Prop pick #2: Arch Manning Under 238.5 passing yards

Ole Miss may be allowing around this number, and some opponents have thrown for more than 300 yards, but things weren't exactly polished in Louisville's first game of the season.

Then, this past week against Missouri, the Rebels allowed just three points. This is a very talented defense that should give Arch Manning, who somehow still has a job, plenty of trouble.

Manning is averaging just 215 passing yards per game, a number that drops to 207.2 against Power Four opponents. His best passing performance against a quality opponent came in the Red River Rivalry, when he threw for 260 yards.

It's hard to believe Manning and his offense will have much motivation after the past two weeks.

Playable down to 230 yards.

Prop pick #3: Trinidad Chambliss anytime touchdown

I’m a sucker for a quarterback finding the end zone in a big matchup, and Chambliss has found paydirt in every game this season except the Week 2 matchup against Charlotte.

Texas has yet to allow a QB to find the end zone on the ground this season, but there’s an argument to be made that none of the pivots the Longhorns have faced are as athletic as Chambliss. I fully expect him to be forced out of the pocket and find a lane to the end zone.

Side note: For those thinking the Over on his rushing yards is the safer play, it’s not! Take the Over on his longest rush of 12.5 yards instead. It protects you from losing yards on a potential sack.
