This game between the Colorado Buffaloes and West Virginia Mountaineers should be pure chaos.
We have two defenses that can’t stop explosive plays, two quarterbacks who’ll either light it up or throw it straight to the other team, and coaching that could make a Pop Warner dad blush.
Both Colorado and West Virginia rank outside the Top 100 in explosive plays allowed. WVU has given up more than a dozen plays of 40+ yards, and Colorado isn’t far behind (14).
Big plays are coming, whether it’s busted coverages or blown tackles. Julian Lewis gives Colorado a vertical threat, while West Virginia can move the ball with dual-threat quarterback Scotty Fox Jr. under center against a soft Buffaloes front seven.
Neither defense is built to get off the field, and points should pile up fast. I’m expecting a wild Big 12 conference matchup in Morgantown on Saturday.
