With Joel Embiid out – and Ben Simmons likely guarding Giannis Antetokounmpo – look for Milwaukee's Khris Middleton to have a big night in the City of Brotherly Love.

NBA sharp money and line movement report

By Patrick Everson

Milwaukee initially dipped from -5 to -4.5 Tuesday afternoon at PointsBet USA, but Giannis and Co. are up to -6 as of 5 p.m ET today. It's quite lopsided action on the Bucks, who are landing 81 percent of tickets and 91 percent of money on the spread. The total opened at 236.5, bottomed out at 234 and is now 234.5, with 62 percent of tickets/74 percent of dollars on the Over.

Against the spread (ATS) pick

The Bucks have won nine of their last 10 games, and they now get to face the Sixers without Embiid, who just might be the NBA MVP this season. While Philadelphia is currently the top team in the Eastern Conference, the center position is the only place the Sixers have a true advantage over the Bucks—unless you’re counting Ben Simmons as a point guard, rather than a forward. With that said, it’s hard to count on Philadelphia in this one and it’s not exactly fair either.

Even if Simmons is able to keep Giannis Antetokounmpo in check, the Bucks have more than enough to bombard the Sixers here. If Simmons does take on the Giannis assignment, that would leave Khris Middleton with an advantage in this game. Middleton was inexplicably snubbed for the All-Star team, but he has been a nightmare for opposing teams all season. He’s averaging 20.4 points per game and he’s shooting 49 percent from the floor and 42.4 percent from deep. Look for him to have another good performance in this one, and don’t be surprised if Jrue Holiday gets it going as well.

With Embiid out, Brook Lopez is also somebody to watch here. Lopez is coming off a 22-point performance against the Wizards, and he should be a lot more effective against Dwight Howard and Tony Bradley than he would have been against Embiid.

PREDICTION: Bucks -5.5 (-110)

Over/Under pick

Each of Milwaukee’s last three games have gone Over the total, and Philadelphia’s games have been similarly high scoring as of late—with the exception of last night’s slugfest against New York.

The latter shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, as the 76ers are playing without one of the best defensive bigs in the NBA. Meanwhile, the Bucks just get up and down the floor in a hurry and they have shooters all over the court.

When Giannis gets rolling offensively, those snipers take advantage of the space he creates for them. In a game like this, Milwaukee should thrive, and Philadelphia’s role players should also benefit from the tempo.

PREDICTION: Over 236 (-110)

Player prop pick

As previously mentioned, Middleton is likely to get the easier matchup in this meeting with Philadelphia.

With his ability to score in an abundance of ways, that is going to be big in what should be a high-scoring affair. Look for Middleton to easily hit this number, with at least 25 points being a real possibility in this one.

PREDICTION: Khris Middleton Over 19.5 points (-115)
