The Seattle Mariners close out their series at Coors Field this afternoon looking to salvage a split after the Colorado Rockies’ 5-3 win Saturday. Seattle sits at a 60% implied probability on the moneyline, with first pitch set for 3:10 p.m. ET.
The Rockies are starting Tomoyuki Sufano, and his September slide shapes my Mariners vs. Rockies prediction. I’ve got the M’s on the moneyline, Over a big total, and I’m targeting the Mariners’ biggest power bat for my home run prop.

Who will win Mariners vs Rockies today: Mariners moneyline
For help understanding probabilities, see our odds calculator.
The Seattle Mariners have the better setup today against a weak pitcher. Tomoyuki Sugano enters with a 5.49 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP, and September has been brutal, with 14 earned runs and four home runs across 17 innings this month.
The Mariners have handled right-handed pitching well away from home, producing a .772 OPS against righties on the road over the last 30 days. Sugano has surrendered 31 home runs this season, giving Seattle plenty of ways to do damage in a hitter-friendly environment.
Kade Anderson’s inexperience is why I stay off Seattle -1.5, but the Colorado Rockies have struggled against left-handers lately, posting just a .693 OPS against lefties at home over the last 30 days. Sugano’s current form gives the Mariners enough of an offensive edge to justify the moneyline, and I’d play Seattle to 62%.

Mariners vs Rockies Over/Under pick: Over 10.5
The scoring opportunities in this matchup make the Over 10.5 the way to go. Sugano has allowed 13 earned runs over his last two starts, while Anderson brings a 5.33 ERA into his first appearance at Coors Field, so neither starter projects for a clean six innings.
Colorado’s staff adds another path to scoring. Rockies pitchers have posted a 7.94 ERA over the last 10 games while allowing 20 home runs in that span, and opponents have hit .305 with a .502 slugging percentage against them this month.
Both offenses have also been active. Colorado collected 15 hits and stranded 12 runners in Friday’s game, and the Rockies are batting .277 while averaging 9.8 hits per game over their last 10. I’d play the Over to 55%.
Mariners vs Rockies home run prediction: Cal Raleigh
Cal Raleigh is the Seattle power bat to target against Sugano, and 26% is an appealing price. Sugano has a pronounced home run problem against left-handed hitters, allowing 21 homers to lefties this season, and Raleigh will hit from the left side against the right-hander.
Raleigh has already gone deep at Coors during this series, and the venue only increases the appeal of targeting his pull power. Sugano has allowed 31 home runs overall, so there's little reason to shy away from Seattle’s biggest threat simply because his price is shorter than the alternatives.
The pitcher split and the ballpark give Raleigh more than enough upside to justify the number. I would not chase it much higher, though. I recommend playing Raleigh to 30% for a quarter unit.
- ML/RL picks: 4-11, -7.40 units
- Over/Under picks: 10-5, +4.34 units
Mariners vs Rockies weather
Coors Field remains the most run-friendly ballpark in baseball, where thin, mile-high air carries fly balls further than anywhere else in the majors.
