HR Prop #1: Aaron Judge
Aaron Judge hasn’t been at his best since returning from the IL. He’s hitting just .216 in August, but the slugger has still cranked 40 home runs on the year. Judge will be looking to help the New York Yankees win one against the Boston Red Sox today after losing the first two games of this series.
Garrett Crochet is on the hill for the Red Sox, who is downright nasty. However, Judge has taken him deep once in nine at-bats. Crochet has allowed a homer in each of his last two starts, and Judge has smacked 11 long balls off lefties.
Also, the reigning AL MVP has 18 homers in day games and 18 round-trippers at Yankee Stadium this season.
HR Prop #2: Jose Altuve
Jose Altuve is still one of the best hitters in baseball, and he can put one out in a hurry, despite his small stature. The Venezuelan has smacked 22 bombs this season while hitting .275. He’ll be up against Dean Kremer of the Baltimore Orioles tonight, who has allowed 18 homers in 25 appearances.
The infielder is 8-for-17 lifetime versus Kremer with one round-tripper and three doubles. Altuve has four home runs in August, and he was 2-for-4 in Friday’s contest. The majority of his power damage has come against right-handed pitchers, smacking 17 long balls.
Altuve is swinging it well right now, and seeing a familiar arm that he’s raked against in the past is always a positive for the confidence.
HR Prop #3: George Springer
George Springer is having a spectacular season for the surging Toronto Blue Jays. Despite a short stint on the IL recently, he’s still raking. Since coming back on August 16, Springer is batting .304 with three home runs.
He hasn’t missed a beat. Overall, the veteran has 21 round-trippers to go along with a .292 average.
The 35-year-old will face Miami Marlins starter Janson Junk today, who has an ERA over four and struggles to miss barrels at times. He’s surrendered five homers in just four starts this month. Springer is batting .310 against righties with 14 bombs.
He’s also gone deep nine times on the road. Springer has homers in two of his last three. Don’t be surprised if the outfielder goes yard again.
