Eagles OC Sean Mannion was asked if we’re going to get more runs from Hurts after only 7 carries in Week 1. He told the media we would, stating, “It’s certainly something that really unlocks things for us.” Given that the Week 2 defense is Tennessee, I expect Hurts to have a big day on the ground and find the end zone, especially with the “Tush Push” at play.

After being held out of the end zone in Week 1, I’m anticipating Barkley scoring against the Titans. Tennessee finished 28th in run defense DVOA and 24th in PFF run defense grade while allowing 142 rushing yards to backs in the season opener, and now they face an elite offensive line that ranked 10th in run block win rate last week. Of course, Barkley also handled 33.8% of the touches and 48.3% of the carries inside the red zone last year.

With the Steelers sending out a capable, experienced and versatile defense, I’m happy to take the points in what I forecast to be a low-scoring game. Pittsburgh QB Aaron Rodgers finished with the seventh-highest PFF offense grade among quarterbacks and didn’t have a single turnover worthy play in Week 1, and the Steelers also finished the week ranked No. 1 in defensive DVOA while allowing the second-lowest EPA per play.

This is a fair number for Metcalf to find the end zone. He paced the Steelers in targets with a 27% share in Week 1, and he also garnered a respectable 28.6% of red-zone touches in 2025. Additionally, the 6-foot-4 Metcalf has a notable size advantage over the New England secondary, and I expect McCarthy to create opportunities for his go-to receiver to avoid being blanketed by Patriots star shadow cornerback Christian Gonzalez.

We don’t need another 59-point eruption. Half of that will do in Chicago’s home opener. Brian Flores’ overrated defense allowed just 22 points last week, but Green Bay scored 19 before halftime and averaged 6.3 yards per play leading to a misleading final score. Give me four Bears touchdowns to clear this number. I’ll also accept 14 safeties. Whatever gets us there.

The Green Bay Packers leaned heavily on Jordan Love in Week 1, having him throw the ball 42 times for 387 yards against the Vikings. And while Matt LaFleur will probably try to install more balance moving forward, the passing game is clearly going to be an offensive focus for Green Bay this season, with unproven options like Marshawn Lloyd and Chris Brooks providing little confidence in the running game. I'm taking Love to throw for 250+ yards at 55% or less.

Tyler Shough soared Over his 21.5 pass-completion prop last week vs. Detroit, connecting on 35-of-56 passes. I got this at 3.7x and would play to 3.2x. The Raiders should be playing in a negative game script on Sunday, and Michael Mayer could be the most-targeted Raider in an indoor game against a Chargers team that is in a must-win spot in Week 2. Last week as the TE1, Mayer led the Silver and Black in target share at 24% and targets per route run at 30%. He had seven targets and caught six balls, with the Raiders playing with the lead from start to finish. He was also one of three pass-catchers to see a target in the red zone. He isn't running deep routes, but that's a good thing when his QB is Kirk Cousins. He could have a big-volume game if Las Vegas is forced to pass more than its 46% rate in Week 1.

An extreme throwing game script is suggested by the Raiders being a huge -7-point underdog in this game.. The leading projections forecast the Las Vegas Raiders to be the 6th-most pass-centric offense among all teams this week with a 60.1% pass rate, given their underlying traits and matchup dynamics.. Calm weather conditions (like the 1-mph wind being forecasted in this game) usually prompt increased passing effectiveness, higher touchdown potential, higher pass volume, and lower rush volume.. In this contest, Kirk Cousins is projected by the model to wind up with the 10th-most pass attempts out of all QBs with 35.1. . The Chargers linebackers project as the 2nd-worst LB corps in football since the start of last season in defending pass-catchers.

The 49ers took a 24-7 lead early in the fourth quarter against the Rams in Week 1, which led to a more conservative game script down the stretch than we would have seen in a more competitive contest. Still, Mike Evans managed six receptions on seven targets in his San Francisco debut, proving early in the season that he is the focal point of the team's passing attack. This is tremendous value in a favorable matchup.

The Colts' defense looked like it belonged on a JV team against Derrick Henry last week, as he ran for 144 yards and three touchdowns while averaging six yards per carry. It won't get any easier against Kenneth Walker, who looked like the best version of himself against what should be one of the best units in football, running for 173 yards on 23 attempts against the Denver Broncos. We should see the same type of volume on Sunday night, and if the Chiefs handle their business in the first three quarters, expect them to lean on Walker heavily as they look to control the clock and earn their second win of the season.

Jaxson Dart isn't getting his rushing back scaled properly. He scrambled five times last week and added three designed runs for 54 yards. He also had three kneel-downs and lost five total yards, all in a game where he led wire-to-wire. Now he'll likely be playing from behind, increasing his passing rate, which should in turn increase his scrambling chances. He also likely won't lose five yards on kneel-downs as a touchdown underdog. The projections at Covers are calling for 37.6 rushing yards, and Dart to be the third-most active QB rusher in Week 2 with 7.2 carries.

I know an Under to wrap up Week 2 isn't getting the blood flowing, but look what happened to the Giants last Sunday night. Dallas and New York combined to go 17-for-22 on third down and scored on all seven of their combined red-zone trips. That game went Over by a half-point on its closing 47.5-point total. There is a reason 48.5 is on the other side of a key number. The Giants will suck the clock with a new-look offense that finished second in Week 1 in success rate, and they face a Rams defense without Myles Garrett that ranks third-worst in success rate. The Giants will sustain drives, but finishing them won't be as easy as it was last week. The Rams' offense isn't one that scares me from an explosive-play standpoint. They ran 3-TE sets at a 38% rate in Week 1, the second-most, and still had a -13.89 pass rate over expected in a losing effort. This projects as a slow game, and the Rams could still need some time to get up to 2026 speed on offense.

For every matchup in an NFL season, our NFL computer produces selections for a variety of different betting angles. Our computer picks are based on a proprietary algorithm that values each team in the current week to produce moneyline, spread, and point total selections.

The table above, below the game picks, tracks our NFL computer's results over the last 100 games, outlining the record and profit for selections, based on $100 unit size. We track the profit based on both opening and closing lines for every matchup.

How to Use NFL Computer Picks

The easiest way to utilize our computer picks is to simply follow our selections for every matchup, what you'd call ailing the computer." But there are other ways to utilize our NFL computer picks, as well.

You can use our NFL computer as a jumping-off point to do more research into specific lines, cross-referencing with expert picks, which can be found above the selections for some matchups, recent NFL betting trends, and more.

As well, you can gauge the confidence of the matchup. The larger the projected score, the more confident the computer is in a specific pick.

Or, if you want to implement a system, betting only on underdogs, for example, you can look for matchups in which our computer likes the underdog to inform which picks you're going to hone in on for a given week.

We have these computer picks for every sport you're looking to wager on, as well:

Moneyline

NFL moneyline picks are the simplest way to get in on the NFL action. All you have to do is simply bet on which team you think will win the game.

For moneyline picks, the favorite is represented with a minus sign (-) in front of the odds, while the underdog has a plus (+). However, you don't get the same profit for picking an underdog compared to a favorite. If the favored team is -120, a $100 bet on them would pay out $80 in profit and $180 total, if they win the game. The underdog winning at +150 would pay out a $150 profit, $250 total.

We have a complete breakdown of how to read NFL moneyline odds for these NFL computer picks.

Spread

While moneyline picks are the simplest, picking NFL games against the spread is probably the most common wager for regular NFL bettors.

To bet an NFL spread, you wager on whether a team will win by a certain number of points or more or if they'll lose by fewer points than the spread. For example, if the spread is -6.5 for the New England Patriots, you would win the bet if they win the game by 7 points or more. Or if a team is +6.5, you're betting on if they'll win outright or lose by fewer than 6.5 points.

There is a correlation between moneyline odds and the spread, as books set these lines based on the same information.

You can read more about NFL spreads here.

Totals (Over/Under)

If you aren’t entirely sold on which NFL team will win or cover in an NFL game, you can still use our NFL computer picks to bet on the point total.

As opposed to taking a side, in total or Over/Under betting, you wager on whether both NFL teams will combine for a final score of more than (Over) or less than (Under) the total number of points set by oddsmakers.

The computer picks, and your handicapping of totals is more about how you think both teams will score points, not which team has the edge to win.
