Eagles OC Sean Mannion was asked if we’re going to get more runs from Hurts after only 7 carries in Week 1. He told the media we would, stating, “It’s certainly something that really unlocks things for us.” Given that the Week 2 defense is Tennessee, I expect Hurts to have a big day on the ground and find the end zone, especially with the “Tush Push” at play.

After being held out of the end zone in Week 1, I’m anticipating Barkley scoring against the Titans. Tennessee finished 28th in run defense DVOA and 24th in PFF run defense grade while allowing 142 rushing yards to backs in the season opener, and now they face an elite offensive line that ranked 10th in run block win rate last week. Of course, Barkley also handled 33.8% of the touches and 48.3% of the carries inside the red zone last year.

With the Steelers sending out a capable, experienced and versatile defense, I’m happy to take the points in what I forecast to be a low-scoring game. Pittsburgh QB Aaron Rodgers finished with the seventh-highest PFF offense grade among quarterbacks and didn’t have a single turnover worthy play in Week 1, and the Steelers also finished the week ranked No. 1 in defensive DVOA while allowing the second-lowest EPA per play.

This is a fair number for Metcalf to find the end zone. He paced the Steelers in targets with a 27% share in Week 1, and he also garnered a respectable 28.6% of red-zone touches in 2025. Additionally, the 6-foot-4 Metcalf has a notable size advantage over the New England secondary, and I expect McCarthy to create opportunities for his go-to receiver to avoid being blanketed by Patriots star shadow cornerback Christian Gonzalez.

We don’t need another 59-point eruption. Half of that will do in Chicago’s home opener. Brian Flores’ overrated defense allowed just 22 points last week, but Green Bay scored 19 before halftime and averaged 6.3 yards per play leading to a misleading final score. Give me four Bears touchdowns to clear this number. I’ll also accept 14 safeties. Whatever gets us there.

Geno Smith looked great in Week 1. That’s to say, he didn’t make crucial mistakes or turn the ball over versus the Titans, despite Tennessee running a high rate of zone coverage. Zone has been Geno’s kryptonite throughout his career and he’s going to see plenty of it versus Green Bay and their DC Jonathan Gannon. Smith finished with 17 INTs to just 19 TDs in Las Vegas last year and with the Jets playing behind in a negative game script, Geno could press passes a little too much and find himself in trouble. Projections trend toward at least one interception, sitting as high as 80%. Rainy conditions could also toss a little chaos into the mix at MetLife Stadium.

This is still a +EV TD with a fair price of 3.5x (28.6%), and it's easy to see why. Braelon Allen saw double-digit carries last week against the Titans and played the majority of the snaps on third and fourth down with two or fewer yards to go. It was Breece Hall getting the red-zone carries, but there weren't any short TD opportunities, and Allen handled the majority of the third-down work. The Packers gave up TDs to both Minnesota backs last week and were one of the worst teams in the red zone, allowing a touchdown on all four Minnesota opportunities inside the 20. Their turnovers and penalties can only help New York keep a neutral game script.

Tyler Shough ran four times for only eight yards in a thrilling loss to the Lions in Week 1. The Saints QB faces a Ravens defense that blitzed the snot out of Colts QB Daniel Jones in Week 1. He’ll be forced to out of pocket and put on the run. As a rookie, Shough amassed 10 rushing yards or more in six of his 10 starts with some big gains, like 55 yards versus the blitz-happy Bucs. Projections all sit well above this lower total, ranging from 15 to 21+ rushing yards. His Week 1 total was 18.5 yards O/U and his last five rushing yard total in 2025 were between 16.5 and 20.5 O/U. This 11.5 O/U total seems like an overcorrection to that low Week 1 outing.

I got this at 10.5% (9.5x) and would play this to 7x (14.2%). Durham Smythe might have even more opportunities than last week with the injuries to the Baltimore pass-catchers. Smythe played 62% of the snaps in Week 1, had one RZ target, and might see his routes increase with Ja'Kobi Lane out and Zay Flowers banged up. The Ravens ran heavy sets at a 53% rate last week against the Colts, and with so much uncertainty around the WR rotation, especially with the possibility of Devontez Walker coming back, I'll take a half-unit long shot on a guy playing a decent amount of snaps in an offense that's humming out of the gates.

This might be the best price we get for Chase Brown all season. He should not be 50% or lower in any game, and this price is giving the Texans too much credit after a similar top-tier offense just put up 36 points and 409 total yards in Houston last week. Chase Brown got six of the seven running back red-zone opportunities last week, including all three carries inside the five, where he cashed a -125 touchdown. He's scored seven TDs over his last four games dating back to last season, and I have him at a base probability of 55.6% against an average defense.

The Bengals got four takeaways and still had to sweat out the Bucs in Week 1. Houston's defense bounces back and that offense is improved and always strong at home. The Texans were 9 for 18 on 3rd/4th down conversions and went 4/5 for TDs in the red zone. Cincy finished 2/5 in RZ and needed a defensive score and four FGM (two 50+ yarders) to get to 33 points, despite those extra possesions.

It seems every offensive position for the Broncos is a crowded mess, and that Week 1 prime-time performance left a sour taste in my mouth. The Jaguars, however, looked as good as the Bills and Ravens. The Denver run defense knew Kenneth Walker was coming with a hobbled Patrick Mahomes and still got run over. That's where the 3.2x comes in for Bhayshul Tuten, and it's a price I'd take to 2.5x. The Jacksonville backfield was pretty split, and Tuten didn't play a huge amount at 48% of the snaps, but when he was on the field, he got the ball. He had 16 opportunities on 27 snaps, and the blowout might have muddied the actual rotation. Chris Rodriguez could poach some goal-line work, and his 4.1x price is also something to consider. I just think the Jacksonville running game and offense aren't getting enough credit against a Denver defense that did nothing and is on a short week.

The leading projections forecast this game to have the most plays run out of all the games this week at 131.9 plays, given the play styles of each team and game dynamics.. The Broncos have run the 8th-most plays in football since the start of last season, totaling a staggering 58.7 plays per game.. The Jacksonville Jaguars defense has been a prominent pass funnel last year, leading opposing quarterbacks to attempt the most passes in the NFL (37.5 per game) last year.. J.K. I got this at 3.7x and would play to 3.2x. The Raiders should be playing in a negative game script on Sunday, and Michael Mayer could be the most-targeted Raider in an indoor game against a Chargers team that is in a must-win spot in Week 2. Last week as the TE1, Mayer led the Silver and Black in target share at 24% and targets per route run at 30%. He had seven targets and caught six balls, with the Raiders playing with the lead from start to finish. He was also one of three pass-catchers to see a target in the red zone. He isn't running deep routes, but that's a good thing when his QB is Kirk Cousins. He could have a big-volume game if Las Vegas is forced to pass more than its 46% rate in Week 1.

Let's not get carried away with Arizona's Week 1 win, and getting an RB1 against this team at 2.4x is a steal. Jadarian Price got his feet wet in the opener and was the preferred back on first and second down, with George Holani getting 92% of the third-down work. He'll have another week to plan with new QB Drew Lock, which could make this team more run-heavy than it was with Sam Darnold. The Seahawks only ran 48 plays last Wednesday, so Price's 10-carry, 52-yard game should have more volume in Week 2. The Seahawks had zero carries inside the 10-yard line, but George Holani took the only two red-zone carries. Here's hoping Mike Macdonald and Brian Fleury let Price eat a little more in the Price vs. Jeremiyah Love game.

The Seattle Seahawks have run the 5th-fewest plays in the league since the start of last season, totaling a lowly 53.9 plays per game.. The pass games of both teams (in terms of both volume and effectiveness) figure to benefit from the calm "weather" conditions (as in zero wind) inside this dome, while run volume may decline.

This has bloodbath written all over it. Miami surrendered 27 points to a Raiders offense with nowhere near San Francisco’s firepower. Miami’s offense should struggle to chew up clock, giving San Francisco plenty of chances to pile up the points.

Christian McCaffrey can gash this Dolphins defense for big gains on the ground in Week 2. Miami was 24th in Run Defense DVOA in Week 1 and allowed 100+ yards to Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty. The Fins could be missing two starters on the defensive line and Run CMC has fresh legs with an extended break after thumping the Rams in Australia. He had only 10 carries in that one-side win due to cramping – giving way to rookie RB Kaelon Black - and even with game script calling for another 49ers blowout, projections sit north of 60+ yards with a ceiling of 68. My number comes out to 63 yards from McCaffrey on Sunday.

Kansas City’s defense held Denver to 10 points and 3.7 yards per play in Week 1, continuing elite defensive play at home where they allowed only 15.6 points per game last season. Indianapolis struggled to move the football at home in Week 1, despite being forced into an aggresive game script for most of the game. Last season’s overtime meeting between these teams produced just 43 points. Ten of Kansas City’s last 12 games and eight of its last 10 at home stayed below 46.5.

The Colts' defense looked like it belonged on a JV team against Derrick Henry last week, as he ran for 144 yards and three touchdowns while averaging six yards per carry. It won't get any easier against Kenneth Walker, who looked like the best version of himself against what should be one of the best units in football, running for 173 yards on 23 attempts against the Denver Broncos. We should see the same type of volume on Sunday night, and if the Chiefs handle their business in the first three quarters, expect them to lean on Walker heavily as they look to control the clock and earn their second win of the season.

Expect the Rams to come out swinging after their embarrasing Australia travel plan blew up in their face. They’re 7-1 ATS in their last eight games after an outright loss, so responding to failure has been a part of their recent DNA. The Giants impressed in Week 1, but there are levels to this. Los Angeles entered the season as the clear-cut Super Bowl favorite and was -9.5 on the lookahead. Rested and pissed off, the Rams should deliver a beatdown.

Give me the Giants catching 7.5 points on Monday Night Football, as I make them closer to a 6-point underdog in this spot. I think everyone expects the Rams to bounce back, but I saw a level of toughness and identity from this Giants team that grabbed my attention in their first game under John Harbaugh. Matthew Stafford is one of the few MVP candidates who doesn't use his legs and is a pure pocket quarterback. That pocket might not be as clean as he'd like with Brian Burns, Abdul Carter and Arvell Reese rushing the passer. I think the Giants' defense can make Stafford uncomfortable and prevent this offense from moving the ball up and down the field at will, allowing them to cover the big number. We saw what this defense did to George Pickens and CeeDee Lamb in Week 1, and I expect New York to make life difficult for Stafford.

For every matchup in an NFL season, our NFL computer produces selections for a variety of different betting angles. Our computer picks are based on a proprietary algorithm that values each team in the current week to produce moneyline, spread, and point total selections.

The table above, below the game picks, tracks our NFL computer's results over the last 100 games, outlining the record and profit for selections, based on $100 unit size. We track the profit based on both opening and closing lines for every matchup.

How to Use NFL Computer Picks

The easiest way to utilize our computer picks is to simply follow our selections for every matchup, what you'd call ailing the computer." But there are other ways to utilize our NFL computer picks, as well.

You can use our NFL computer as a jumping-off point to do more research into specific lines, cross-referencing with expert picks, which can be found above the selections for some matchups, recent NFL betting trends, and more.

As well, you can gauge the confidence of the matchup. The larger the projected score, the more confident the computer is in a specific pick.

Or, if you want to implement a system, betting only on underdogs, for example, you can look for matchups in which our computer likes the underdog to inform which picks you're going to hone in on for a given week.

We have these computer picks for every sport you're looking to wager on, as well:

Moneyline

NFL moneyline picks are the simplest way to get in on the NFL action. All you have to do is simply bet on which team you think will win the game.

For moneyline picks, the favorite is represented with a minus sign (-) in front of the odds, while the underdog has a plus (+). However, you don't get the same profit for picking an underdog compared to a favorite. If the favored team is -120, a $100 bet on them would pay out $80 in profit and $180 total, if they win the game. The underdog winning at +150 would pay out a $150 profit, $250 total.

We have a complete breakdown of how to read NFL moneyline odds for these NFL computer picks.

Spread

While moneyline picks are the simplest, picking NFL games against the spread is probably the most common wager for regular NFL bettors.

To bet an NFL spread, you wager on whether a team will win by a certain number of points or more or if they'll lose by fewer points than the spread. For example, if the spread is -6.5 for the New England Patriots, you would win the bet if they win the game by 7 points or more. Or if a team is +6.5, you're betting on if they'll win outright or lose by fewer than 6.5 points.

There is a correlation between moneyline odds and the spread, as books set these lines based on the same information.

You can read more about NFL spreads here.

Totals (Over/Under)

If you aren’t entirely sold on which NFL team will win or cover in an NFL game, you can still use our NFL computer picks to bet on the point total.

As opposed to taking a side, in total or Over/Under betting, you wager on whether both NFL teams will combine for a final score of more than (Over) or less than (Under) the total number of points set by oddsmakers.

The computer picks, and your handicapping of totals is more about how you think both teams will score points, not which team has the edge to win.
