Kennesaw is 0-3 in games decided by seven points or less while Middle Tennessee is 3-1 in this situation, so we have a luck factor to consider. Even though Kennesaw has played the tougher schedule, they're better in yards per play margin. I think this line should be closer to a pick.

Jacksonville State's team total Over is only in play for me at 26.5 or better. The Gamecocks have scored 27+ points in five of their last six games, and New Mexico State hasn't played a quality offense in a month. The Aggies' last three opponents are three of the bottom four teams in PPG in Conference USA.
I only like the Over at 49.5 or better, but these offenses have the playmakers to make for a high-scoring matchup. Jacksonville State ranks top 50 nationally in available yards percentage (51.5%), while New Mexico State ranks top 25 in offensive explosiveness (1.317).
With how fast the Dukes are going to come out and how easily Troy's offense should be to game plan against, James Madison should be able to jump out to an early lead in this matchup. The Dukes rank fifth in first-half scoring, averaging nearly 23 points per game. Troy, on the other hand, averages just 13.2 points, and as mentioned before, its schedule is littered with teams with losing records. This James Madison defense is going to hit the Trojans like a freight train.
James Madison should have little trouble moving the ball, but Troy's one-dimensional offense could struggle against a Dukes defense allowing just 3.4 yards per carry. With the Trojans leaning heavily on the ground game and lacking a reliable passing attack, expect James Madison to control the matchup and keep the total under 50.5.
If you’re looking to get in and out of this matchup, Baylor +2.5 in the first half may be the look for you. The Knights could come out of the gate sluggish after beating the Cougars, while Baylor’s fast-paced offense should overwhelm this Knights defense. Meanwhile, the rock-solid Bears defense should be able to contain the Knights’ offense.

Air Force is down to a third-string quarterback, and I don’t think it is being properly priced in the market. A case could be made that Connecticut is already the better team. Both teams have played schedules of similar strength, per Jeff Sagarin’s ratings (Connecticut No. 118, Air Force No. 119). However, Connecticut is +1.3 in yards-per-play margin while Air Force is -0.1 on the season.
Both teams have played a similar strength of schedule, but UConn is far superior in yards per play margin. On top of that, Air Force lost their starting quarterback a few games ago and that's starting to become a factor with the backup being relied on to do too much. I have this closer to a pick in my power ratings.
With College GameDay on campus, I'd play Indiana up to -21.5. The Hoosiers have struggled to cover this season, but they're a more consistent team than Minnesota thanks to an elite defense (ranked No. 2 by SP+). The Gophers are coming off a massive rivalry win at home, and this will be a letdown spot. Minnesota lost by 28 to Purdue the last time they were on the road.
I would take Georgia to cover up to -12.5 in the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. Florida's defense has allowed 28+ points in four of five SEC games. Georgia's offense is top 20 in offensive success rate (49.7%), and its run defense is built to stop the Gators' run-first approach; the Dawgs allow the second-fewest rushing yards per game in the SEC (90.3).
Good down to 42.5. Ty Dieffenbach has more career turnover-worthy passes (14) than big-time throws (13). The Bruins will keep the ball on the ground (57.5% rush rate), and will do so at a leisurely pace. They snap the ball every 29.3 seconds, the 128th-fastest tempo.
Nevada is good down to +21. UCLA is averaging 20.7 ppg with Ty Dieffenbach at quarterback, so the offense is officially a concern. It managed just 0.032 EPA per play last week against a Michigan State defense absent several starters.
Ashton Daniels gives Florida State a real edge at quarterback, but for as bad as things seem for Clemson right now, the Tigers enter this game with the better record and just one spot behind the Seminoles in SP+.
FSU is just 1-3 ATS at home this season and 0-2 ATS as the favorite. I wouldn't expect Clemson to win, but I also have no interest in laying the points.
My power rankings make Ohio State an 8.5-point favorite in this game, easily crossing through the key “7” number. With a bye week to prepare for this game, I expect Ryan Day and company to have a competent game plan with both backups Luke Fahey and Tavien St. Clair. Remember, this is still an Ohio State team with the country's best wide receiver, Jeremiah Smith. The Buckeyes rank in the top 5 in yards-per-play, yards-per-game, and points-per-game margins and have played a tougher schedule than USC.
This is about as good a spot for true freshman Luke Fahey to take over under center for Ohio State. He's had two weeks to prepare and still has Jeremiah Smith to lean on against a defense that ranks 106th in opponent yards per attempt.
The Trojans will be a non-factor on the ground (86th in yards per carry), and OSU's elite secondary (No. 1 in yards per attempt) will get just enough stops for the Buckeyes to find some seperation on the scoreboard.

Betting on a moneyline simply means you're picking the outright winner of the game, regardless of the scoring margin or total. If the team you choose wins, then your bet hits. Here's what it will look like over at your favorite sportsbook:
| Team | Moneyline |
|---|---|
| Alabama Crimson Tide | -120 |
| Missouri Tigers | +150 |
In this case, Alabama is favored to win the game as its moneyline odds have a minus sign (-) in front of the number. The favorites will have the minus sign present, and the underdogs will have a plus sign (+). Easy, right?
Betting the spread gives your bet a bit more breathing room. Here, you don't need to sweat out a team to win. Instead, you can wager on the point differential on the scoreboard.
Betting on the spread is a good idea when the moneyline profits aren't enticing. There's no point betting on Alabama as a heavy -1500 favorite over Missouri. But taking Missouri to keep the scoring margin within a certain frame will get you more bang for your buck.
| Team | Spread |
|---|---|
| Alabama Crimson Tide | -24.5 (-105) |
| Missouri Tigers | +24.5 (-115) |
In this example, the Tide are favored to dominate their game against Missouri, outperforming them by at least 24.5 points.
If Alabama does win by more than 25 points, that would mean the Crimson Tide covered the spread. But if the Tide won by just 20 points, then that would mean the Tigers "covered the spread" instead.
If you think the outcome of a game could flip in either direction, then an Over/Under is the way to go. This bet relies on the combined score from both teams and whether it goes Over or Under the point total listed at sportsbooks. Then, who cares who wins?
| Team | Total |
|---|---|
| Alabama Crimson Tide | O 52.5 (-110) |
| Missouri Tigers | U 52.5 (-110) |
In this example, oddsmakers have set the total score for the game at 52.5 points. The choice is now up to you. If you think the Tide and Tigers will score a combined total of more than 52.5 points, 53 points or more, then pick the Over. If you're thinking otherwise, then bet the Under, and the bet will hit if they score fewer than 52.5 points.
If the set number was a whole number like 52 points and the two teams score exactly that amount, then it is considered a push and you'd get your money back.
