Arizona vs BYU Picks & Props
ARIZ vs BYU Picks
NCAAF PicksArizona should be able to put points on the board thanks to its experience on offense. Quarterback Noah Fifita has been with the program since 2022, while Tre Spivey, Chris Hunter and Giovanni Richardson each bring more than two years of experience. That familiarity should help the Wildcats navigate a tough road matchup. BYU also enters the season with former special teams coach Kelly Poppinga taking over as defensive coordinator, making this his first true test in the role. Arizona should be able to take advantage of the new coordinator and reach 20 points Saturday.
If BYU leans heavily on the ground game, the clock should tick quickly from start to finish. Arizona’s defense is prepared for the run, which should help keep this conference matchup tight throughout.
With both teams likely relying on the ground game, I expect a slower-paced affair and a close finish. Expect a good old fashion rock fight.
Arizona is coming off a dominant defensive performance against Northern Arizona, holding the Lumberjacks to -7 rushing yards. While BYU presents a much tougher challenge, the Wildcats’ ability to slow the run will be critical against sophomore quarterback Bear Bachmeier. On the other side, Noah Fifita looked sharp in the opener, throwing for nearly 280 yards and two touchdowns while completing 23 of 30 passes. Fifita also brings plenty of experience after throwing for 3,228 yards and 29 touchdowns in 2025. With a familiar leader under center and several returning weapons, Arizona should be able to keep this matchup close in Provo.
