The man with 33 regular-season long balls hasn't hit one in the playoffs, but he's in a great spot to do so this afternoon at home against a pitcher he's had some success against. The Cleveland Guardians are turning to Daniel Espino to open, a largely unproven commodity with just 14 innings under his belt this year; now he's coming into the Thunderdome - Rate Field hasn't hosted a postseason game in four years and will undoubtedly be a tough place to pitch. Miguel Vargas, who has two at-bats against Espino, has already went yard against him and is money at home, owning a .887 OPS. If he's going to hit a bomb, now would be the time.
I'd play this up to 55% with the series shifting to Chicago for the first time in the playoffs and the White Sox one win away from moving on to the ALCS. Rate Field - where the Sox owned a 48-33 record this year - is going to be absolutely electric. It'll be a battle of the openers in Game 3. Sean Newcomb leads the charge for Chicago, and he's limited the Guardians to a .202 xBA and .289 xwOBA across a healthy 49 plate appearances against him. We'll take that. The Guardians counter with Daniel Espino, who's only logged 14 innings this season. The White Sox bullpen has been elite in the playoffs (1.04 ERA); I'll lean Chicago in the series clincher as they look to stay perfect in the postseason.
Good ol' reliable Freddie Freeman, welcome back to our home run props. Freeman has gone yard in back-to-back games and is 8-for-19 with a double and a home run (.292 xBA, .506 xSLG) against Tyler Mahle, which puts us in a great position to cash this trade. His splits are the cherry on top - Freddie mashes righties to the tune of a .850 OPS. That'll play. When Freeman gets going, he's an incredibly difficult out, and we're getting him in the middle of a hot streak. Let's ride with him and cash a big one.
Hernandez has been dangerous this postseason with a 62.5% hard-hit rate, 22.2% blast-contact rate and 390 xISO. He’s also posted a high-end .273 xISO against Braves starter Tyler Mahle across nine plate appearances. Even if it’s a small sample, those are big numbers, so I recommend this prop to +500.
Junior Caminero is one of the best hitters in baseball; if you can trade him at this price, you absolutely have to do it. Now, of course, we're getting 16 cents because he's up against Max Fried, but Caminero loves his lefties, owning a .916 OPS against southpaws this year. He sees Fried well, too, rocking a .306 xBA across 15 at-bats against him. For a player in the 90th percentile or better in xSLG, exit velo, hard-hit percentage, and bat speed, I'll invest.
I’m going to double dip with New York Yankees bats and play Cody Bellinger for two H+R+R up to 55%.
Bellinger hit .289 against Nick Martinez’ three most-used pitches during the regular season while striking out in just 11.8% of his at-bats.
He is also a .288 hitter over more than 100 ABs vs. Tampa Bay Rays relievers, making him a threat throughout the entire game.
Play to 52%. Getting Jackson Chourio at plus money to get 2+ total bases is a gift, likely informed by his low batting average through three games. But his BABIP is an absurdly low .091, which screams more bad luck than anything. Fade Walker Buehler, back Chourio at plus money.
Lefties may have hit Walker Buehler more effectively overall, but right-handed hitters slugged better. William Contreras had a fine if underwhelming regular season, but he has come to play in October, hitting .364/.462/.909 with two long balls and a 263 wRC+ in 13 plate appearances.

MLB picks are bet suggestions based on our computer's assessment of the game. Tons of betting data goes into a computer pick, including pitching matchups, injury reports, analytics, and even recent betting trends.
You can use the tables above to help with your bets during the MLB season. The first section includes free, computer-generated picks for daily Major League Baseball games. Baseball bettors can choose to follow the computer, fade the computer, or simply use our computer picks as one element of their betting strategy.
This page also tees up access to deeper betting trends. For example, if a club's run line is favored, you can check their ATS trends, potentially opening up some quality underdog bets.

This is the most common and easiest wager for a bettor to make when it comes to MLB picks. Basically, to win an MLB moneyline pick, you just have to choose which team will win the game.
It's simple: if you bet the White Sox moneyline over the Red Sox and Chicago wins, you win your bet.
The run line is another name for a point spread that you may be more familiar with in NBA and NFL betting. A point spread varies in the NFL and NBA from as little as 0.5 points up to double-digit spreads. A baseball run line is almost always a 1.5-point spread.
The favorite will be -1.5 while the underdog will be +1.5. At the end of the game, if you take away 1.5 runs from the favorite or add 1.5 runs to the underdog and they end up winning the game, you win your MLB pick against the spread.
Another common wager is to bet on the total in baseball, which is a bet on the total runs scored in the baseball game. You are simply choosing whether the final score will be Over or Under that total. Betting the Over/Under on a matchup is a great way to get started in MLB score predictions.
A new and emerging MLB betting market is the NRFI/YRFI bet. These are quick-hitters in which you make a wager on the O/U total of the first inning, typically set at 0.5 runs. Thus, the bet is coined as No Run First Inning or Yes Run First Inning. No need to wait a couple of hours to cash a bet when it could be done in 20 minutes or less.
The above options, moneyline, run line, and Over/Under, can also be placed on the first five innings of a game rather than the full game. Many experienced bettors will use this approach because, typically, this will take bullpens out of the equation and make your job researching the game easier. After all, you can just focus on the starting pitchers.
If you want to combine multiple games into one mega wager, you may consider making a parlay bet. A parlay is when you pick two or more MLB games on one single betting ticket, which will increase the payout of your bet.
But it also comes with more risk, as each of those MLB picks must hit for your ticket to pay out. Our parlay calculator is a great tool to find out what your potential payout would be.

Player props are a great way to hone in on an individual matchup for a game. These types of wagers will be individualized for a player: Will Shohei Ohtani hit a home run? Will Gerrit Cole get seven strikeouts? Will Paul Skenes allow two earned runs?
You simply choose whether this outcome will happen or not. Keeping up to date on daily pitching matchups and batters on a hot streak can give you a huge boost when placing player prop bets.
Lastly, prior to the season and even throughout the season, you can place futures bets on all the long-term awards and outcomes. You can lock in an MLB pick on who will win their division, which squad will win the World Series, or even who will win the Rookie of the Year, MVP, or Cy Young.
