Jaguars ground Eagles to improve regular-season ATS run to 12-1.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are 4.5-point favorites over the Philadelphia Eagles ahead of their 9:30 a.m. ET kickoff at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England on Sunday, Oct. 11.

My early Eagles vs. Jaguars prediction and NFL picks expect Jacksonville to hold Philly in check to cover the spread and keep the total Under the number in Week 5.

Early Eagles vs Jaguars spread pick: Jaguars -4.5

Kalshi probability: 50%

This is one of Week 5's biggest mismatches.

The Philadelphia Eagles offense is missing key playmakers, and QB Jalen Hurts threw for just 3.4 yards per attempt with Philly also going 0-for-12 on third down during Sunday’s 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

It’s all added up to the Philadelphia offense dropping to an alarming 28th-ranked EPA per play through four games.

On the opposite sideline, the Jacksonville Jaguars are well coached and executing on both sides of the ball, ranking seventh in both offensive and defensive EPA per play.

It’s translated to wins, too, with Jacksonville sporting an NFL-best 11-1 regular-season run while more impressively going 11-1 against the spread.

I particularly value the Jags allowing the third-fewest yards per rush and sixth-lowest rushing success rate because the Eagles will need to lean on the passing attack, and Hurts has his lowest yards per attempt (6.3) and adjusted completion percentage (71.7%) since taking over the No. 1 gig in 2021.

It’s just the opposite for Jags QB Trevor Lawrence. He’s thrown for a career-high 8.1 YPA and 77.3% adjusted completion percentage through four weeks, and Jacksonville has the highest point differential in the AFC.

Early Eagles vs Jaguars total pick: Under 43.5

Kalshi probability: 48%

The Jaguars have allowed the second-fewest points per game while averaging the second-longest time per drive, which is a perfect recipe for Jacksonville holding Philly in check and keeping this total Under the number.

As noted, Philadelphia is a mess offensively, and a trip to London certainly doesn’t help the likelihood of key starters DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dallas Goedert (knee) returning.

Of course, Eagles No. 1 running back Saquon Barkley also left with a hamstring injury Sunday.

As a result, my early lean on this total is to the Under.
