A 14-game slate for the NHL on Saturday night surely has bettors itching for valuable NHL player props, and there's certainly no shortage of them across such a massive slate.

I've chosen three prominent figures to produce in their respective games, highlighted by former 60-goal man Steven Stamkos, and the always trigger-happy Tage Thompson.

Read along for my NHL picks for Saturday, Oct. 10.

Prop pick #1: Tage Thompson 4+ shots

Novig probability: 43%

Tage Thompson remains the only player left this season to record four or more shots in every game he has played.

The Buffalo Sabres sniper has compiled 23 shots on goal in just four games this season and has hit the mark in five straight. He's also attempted 36 shots, tying him with Brandon Hagel for the league lead.

The Utah Mammoth have allowed the fourth-fewest shots in this early season, but Thompson's shot volume has been matchup-proof, and his trigger-happy start to the season provides a ton of value at plus-money.

  • Matchup: Mammoth vs. Sabres
  • Time: 7 p.m. ET
  • Location: KeyBank Center, Buffalo, NY
  • TV: ESPN+

Prop pick #2: Steven Stamkos 1+ points

Novig probability: 56%

Steven Stamkos enjoyed a career resurgence last season to the tune of 42 goals.

The longtime Bolt is lightning-hot to start 2026-27 with six points through four games, hitting the scoresheet in five straight and six of seven. Four of his points have come via the power play, and the Ottawa Senators currently sport the 21st-ranked penalty kill.

Three Nashville Predators have shorter odds to record a point against the Sens tonight. While his first season in Music City was certainly a bumpy road, he's seemingly found his form once again.

  • Matchup: Predators vs. Senators
  • Time: 7 p.m. ET
  • Location: Canadian Tire Centre, Ottawa, ON
  • TV: ESPN+, SN1

Goal scorer pick: Mark Stone

Novig probability: 34%

Mark Stone played at a career-best 38-goal pace in 2025-26 and has three goals in five games thus far this season. He's fired 13 shots on goal this season (also a career-best pace) and has found the back of the net in consecutive games.

The Vegas Golden Knights captain has been scoring at an unprecedented clip for over a calendar year now, yet is still priced at just 34% against the Los Angeles Kings tonight. He's scored in five of his last eight.

Jack Eichel has also scored in each of the aforementioned five games and is priced identically. Food for thought.

  • Matchup: Kings vs. Golden Knights
  • Time: 10 p.m. ET
  • Location: T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, NV
  • TV: ESPN+, ABTV
