The New Orleans Saints head to the Pacific Northwest for a Week 3 clash with the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field.
Seattle is coming off an impressive victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers, and I’m eyeing them to keep it rolling in my Saints vs. Seahawks predictions.

Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.
Early Saints vs Seahawks spread pick: Seahawks -7
After a 17-13 loss in Week 1 to the San Francisco 49ers, the Seattle Seahawks responded in a big way in Week 2, beating Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers 31-17. The offense found momentum, with Kenneth Walker III, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, and QB Sam Darnold all doing their part.
Next up is the young New Orleans Saints, who are winless through two games. They lost by exactly seven points in the season opener to the Arizona Cardinals before falling 26-21 to the Brock Purdy-less 49ers over the weekend.
New Orleans may have won four straight against Seattle, but the last meeting was in 2022. A lot has changed since then, and the Saints are very much in a rebuild with QB Spencer Rattler under center.
The Seahawks offense was electric in Week 2 and showed its ability, and New Orleans is nothing to write home about on either side of the ball. A 7-point spread is smaller than I expected, and that could increase as the week goes on. Lock in Seattle to cover right now.
Early Saints vs Seahawks total pick: Under 41.5
Seattle is a dangerous team, and Darnold is starting to find a rhythm with his weapons. Walker is also balling out in the Hawks’ backfield.
Defensively, the Seahawks are also impressive, and I don’t see them giving up a lot of points to a team like New Orleans, which has yet to show much on the offensive side of the ball.
I do think the Hawks will put up points, but I expect them to be extremely solid defensively, especially on home turf at Lumen Field, where the atmosphere always plays to their advantage.
