Joe Burrow TNF prop pick

Over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-113)

We’ve got a mouthwatering TNF clash this week which gives us a chance to get stuck into Joe Burrow props. It’s been an interesting season for the former LSU man and perhaps the fairest way to describe it so far is two seasons in one.

To start the season it was clear that Burrow was still feeling the effects of the calf injury he picked up in training camp. His mobility looked poor and when he did escape the pocket he didn’t look anything like the same quarterback we’ve seen over the years. This impacted everything even his mechanics. His numbers across the first four games of the season were really poor, throwing just two touchdowns and not having a QB rating above 86.

However, in Week 5 we saw the real Joe Burrow, with him looking healthier than before, and in those five games since he’s looked a lot more like the QB we expected to see this season. Our best bet for Thursday Night Football is banking on Burrow continuing to play. We’re backing Burrow to have Over 1.5 passing touchdowns in the game.

This is a very talented Baltimore Ravens defense but Burrow at his best is more than capable of tearing them apart and I believe he will. Through the first four games of the season, he managed Over 1.5 passing touchdowns on just one occasion and it was against this very team in a 24-27 loss. However, since Week 5 he’s had at least two passing touchdowns in every game and in 40% of those games he’s had three passing touchdowns.

With Burrow reaching his best form we can feel confident that he’s ready to produce regardless of the defense that he’s facing, which is why we’re backing him to get two or more passing touchdowns this Thursday.

Prop: Over 1.5 passing touchdowns (-113 at Caesars)

Joe Burrow TNF same-game parlay

Joe Burrow Over 1.5 passing touchdowns

Joe Burrow Over 24.5 pass completions

Ja'Marr Chase to score a touchdown

50% boost available

I’ve got a Joe Burrow-themed Same-Game Parlay for you ahead of the Thursday Night Football and it comes in at +400.

You know the drill with these by now, we start with our best bet which in this case is for Joe Burrow to throw for Over 1.5 passing touchdowns. I’m really confident in this despite the ability of the Ravens’ defense. Burrow has achieved this feat in his past five games which coincides with when he started looking like his calf injury has healed. He should manage to do it again on Thursday.

Next, we’re backing Burrow to have Over 24.5 passing completions. If we again look at his past five games, the ones in which he’s looked healthy and the calf issue looks to be fixed, then he’s hit this number on four of five occasions. Not only that but when these teams met in Week 2 an injured Burrow still managed 27 completions. He should be able to do it again here.

Finally, we’re going to take Burrow’s favorite receiver, Ja’Marr Chase, to find the endzone. Chase only has five touchdowns on the season but it’s noticeable that his performances have also improved from Week 5 onwards, the same time as Burrow got healthy, with all five TDs in the five games since. The connection between them is incredible and in those five games of healthy Burrow, we’ve seen Chase targeted 58 times. With Tee Higgins out he’ll continue to be a volume hog for this Bengals offense and a serious red zone threat.
